Borgo Pio Suites Inn

The room was absolutely splendid. It was incredibly clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and lovely with a great shower. The coffee machine was gorgeous. The TV had Netflix and we enjoyed a movie and a glass of wine in the evening after a long day of working. There is a shared kitchen area with extra coffees and equipment if you want to bring food back and eat comfortably at a table. The location is unbelievable, steps away from tej Vatican and surrounded by great food places and shops. The pizzeria two doors down was fantastic and so cheap and friendly, so we hugely recommend giving that a try when you are staying here. This hotel is very close to the river and we walked everywhere from here, no need for busses. My daughter describes the pillows as 'like sleeping on a cloud.' There is a fridge in the room and even the mini bar is reasonably priced, similar to local shops.

Literally the only thing was that the booking.com room description says that there are croissants for breakfast in the room and there aren't any, but we weren't bothered as we didn't really expect that and it did say this room didn't have breakfast, so that was contradictory anyway. The coffee machine had little biscuits and we popped around the corner for beautiful fresh croissants and freshly squeezed juice within a 5 minute walk from a local gelataria (walk to the end of Borgo Pia road, cross over and it is on the opposite corner) so everything is there that you need.

It was very clean with wonderful staff and very close to the Vatican. We had a great time and if I return with family next year I will book here again.
