The service was absolutely outstanding, with very friendly, responsive staff who went above and beyond. The buggy and transport service around the complex and to external dinners was incredibly convenient. Housekeeping was excellent and kept everything very clean.

Some areas of the accommodation felt a little run down, particularly the lounge seating, which wasn’t very comfortable. There was also an unpleasant smell from the bins and around the outside of the restaurant area, which detracted from the overall experience.

Perfect quiet location

We had a wonderful stay at Desa Swan Villas with our family. Just a short walk to the beach for our sons for surfing; and we enjoyed a walk along the black sand beach. The staff were super friendly and helpful - even driving us to a nearby convenience store to pick up some snacks. The villa was clean and comfortable and the pool was perfect and crystal clear and clean. We loved the quietness of Keramas - away from the hustle and bustle of the well known Bali areas. A perfect location for a short getaway. We also visited the spa at Desa Swan - lovely staff, great facility - perfect for a relaxing massage

Unpleasant and unreasonable.

The personnel were accommodating and tried to be as helpful as possible.

The place is very run down, plagued with water damages and musty smells in rooms which lingers. The kitchen is dirty and old. The living room space in the 4 room villa is insufficient for 8 people to hang out comfortably. The photos published are deceiving. We started having dust allergy and reacting to the dampness in the rooms. We had to abandon our stay and no refund was issued, utterly unacceptable!

Serenity at its best

I liked everything about it. It's an experience. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle. It's also close to the beach. So, you can go there for your morning walks, barefoot, and enjoy nature. The restaurant is also by the beach, which I found to be very convenient.

A great place with great staff

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating from start to finish. The buggy service was excellent to get us around. The daily cleaning was great and the place always felt super clean and inviting.

No complaints! I wish the spa had a little more availability, but not a huge deal at all.

Perfect for 3-5 days and/or surfing

It was a wonderful villa with loads of space. The private pool was really spacious too and the water temperature was perfect! The surrounding was nicely planted which created an nice private environment. The bed was super comfy and the mosquito net ensured a safe and pleasant sleep! To the restaurant it was a little walk from a couple of minutes, but if you felt lazy you could always request a buggy for the transfer too. The restaurant is directly located at the beautiful black sand beach. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

The short walk to the restaurant was really unpleasant with trash and bin cans everywhere which stinked a lot all the time. It was unfortunate that the tides and waves were too strong for swimming in the ocean, but if we were surfing then it would have been the perfect spot. We thought the breakfast could have been a bit better, but that's personal choice. The room was maybe a bit small but when including the outdoor space it was good. Also the tap water smelled bad.

Would happily stay again!

Loved the size of the villa and private pool. Staff were excellent. Location is quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. The beach restaurant was great for breakfast and dinners, with the live music a bonus treat. There is a great beach bar not attached to the property just down the beach that was great for lunch.

The living room could be improved. It would be nice if there was an area for gathering that was not in a bedroom but also air conditioned.

Wow, what an incredible stay! Desa Swan was the very first hotel I stayed at in Indonesia and it truly set the bar so high. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel completely at home. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. Every single need was met before I even had to ask. The setting is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by rice fields and just a short walk to the beach. It feels peaceful and private while still being close to everything. My villa was spotless, spacious, and perfectly designed for relaxation. The views were stunning, especially at sunrise. The restaurant deserves special mention. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff there went above and beyond every single day. I also treated myself to a massage at the spa, and it was divine, easily one of the best spa experiences I have ever had. Desa Swan is a place filled with heart. You can feel how much care and pride the team puts into everything. I left feeling completely recharged and so grateful. Thank you to the entire staff for making my first stay in Indonesia unforgettable.

If I were to mention one small thing, it would be that my towels were changed daily no matter if I hung them on the rack or left them on the floor. It was lovely to always have fresh towels, but a bit confusing to my European mind since the sign mentioned saving water by reusing them. Not a complaint at all, just an observation.

Beautiful quiet place to rejuvenate

I booked this as a surprise for my husband for his 50th birthday. We had a villa with private pool and it was amazing! Perfect restaurants nearby, and right in the middle of rice paddies. Such good value for money, super quiet and the perfect break. The breakfast was also amazing. Great spa onsite too.

The Breakfast was amazing, right on the beach. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Accomodation was lovely and peaceful, large pool. Daily room cleans too. A buggy was available to pick us up and take us to local areas, like shops etc. This was a really lovely place. Good for kids

The surrounding area included a walk to the villa's restaurant. We walked a few times and the smell from the large trash cans along the way was off-putting.

The villas were private & spacious. The swimming pool adds another dimension & is accessed directly from the downstairs bedrooms. It's a great place to relax. The villas are designed for family groups with 4 bedrooms. We were able to have the villa as a 2 bedroom, using both ground level bedrooms. The outdoor area was spacious & included a lawn area with shade trees. There was a water dispenser in the kitchen Very good quality linen, comfortable beds & great bathroom products.

The overall furnishings, walls, doors, etc, require a renovation. The kitchen was small & dark. The fridge was unstable & moved whenever it was opened. The living room would be crowded with 8 guests. However, there are numerous outside sitting spaces. Although the villas are separated by gardens, when large family groups are around the pool, it can be very noisy. The swans around the restaurant are too numerous, old & shabby.

Grab drivers arent “allowed” into the area because the locals don’t like it. So it was quite annoying to have to keep asking the staff to let the drivers know they could come in to pick us up.

Desa Swan villas

The villa was beautiful and the pool and gardens were stunning. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and very fast to respond to our requests on whatsapp. When the shower head broke, they replaced it immediately. The free buggy shuttle service was awesome too. Very clean, restaurant food was exceptional. Breaky buffet had a good selection.

The aircon was leaking but again the maintenance team fixed it immediately. No shops around so you mostly visit local resorts for different restaurants. We were in this area for a wedding so didn't need to go far. Visit this place if you want a completely relaxing stay with no shopping or site seeing. It's very private and secluded which made it very relaxing.

Nice spacious villas that accomodated our large group. Private pool was perfect. Great breakfast included that went from 0700-1100. Great selection of hot and cold.

The Swan Statues. Oh my they date the property. They are everywhere and tacky. However the villas and restaurant are nice buildings. If they just take the swans away it would make the property look so much better. The restaurant for dinner is very expensive compared to the other “tourist” wurongs. There’s not a lot to do in the area. But it’s away from the touristy areas, which is what we were after. Markets taxi ride away. Local surf beach with lessons and horse trekking.

Good if you like hotelroom type of stays but in my opinion really overpriced for Bali standards.

Clean Room with nice Kingsize bed. Good airconditioning. Good breakfast.

Small rooms, not really suitable to share with a 2yrs old. Furthermore the given childbed had just a thin sheet over a wooden floor. After mentioning they put in another sheet instead of a normal matras. Had to fix this myself with cusions from the chairs in the hallway. Also we got another (smaller and cheaper) type of room than we booked on Booking.com. After complaining about the wrong room, the staff first tried to keep us in this room with telling us the other type doesn't exist and all other rooms are fully booked. Only after being really persistend, we got another room which was actually the type of room we booked on Booking.com.

Highly recommended!

The privacy that these villas offer is amazing. They are self contained with a kitchenette. Having a private pool and little yard was great for the kids. Each room has its own bathroom, which we loved. The added bonus of a buffet breakfast every morning was a winner for our family. The villas are away from the chaos of the more popular locations in Bali, this was a pro and con for us.

The only con for us, IF I had to pick one, was the location. It isn't really in walking distance of anything. A driver is required to go anywhere. In saying this, it was great for a more relaxing and less chaotic Bali experience.

Although in kilometres the distance from Sanur, Ubud and Seminyak isn’t very far it takes up to 1.5 hours to arrive at a destination because of the traffic. This isn’t the property’s fault but if you want easy access to the surrounding area then not the best choice.

Great stay

Beautiful villa with plenty of room. We booked a 2 bedroom and ended up with a 4 bedroom villa, they just left two rooms unlocked and let us pick the ones we wanted. They use WhatsApp and it's super easy to get help or for them to come and collect you in the buggy to take you to the beach (but it's also not a big walk). The restaurant was nice and they have happy hour from 4-7 with 2 for 1 cocktails, any cocktail from.the menu. There are a few different food options within walking distance. Not a lot else around but we just used Grab to bring us some shopping and to get anywhere. We spent most afternoons walking along the beach collecting sea glass. All in all, a lovely relaxing stay

We have 2 Young children and there is only one room downstairs and the rest upstairs. They are a little far away from each other so our kids just ended up sleeping on the floor in the room with us.
