Great location, easily accessible by local buses, taxi, or car. On‑site parking is available free of charge. A Tesco Metro is just a 3–4 minute walk away, and the train station is only a further 1–2 minutes beyond that. The seaside and town centre are also easily reachable on foot.
The furniture, walls, and general condition/facilities are a little outdated, but perfectly fine for short stays. The bathrooms feel cold in winter, as the windows are fixed open and cannot be adjusted or closed, allowing cold air to come in as soon as you step out of the shower. The kitchen also felt quite greasy; the extractor fans were covered with spider webs and layers of centuries old dust.

Friendly staff, excellent location, incredible prices
WiFi was spotty in the dorm rooms.

Great location, friendly staff, generally quiet at night. Good cooking facilities. Great breakfast.
Suggest putting air fresheners in rooms and corridors as can help disperse any smells. Also encourage people to wash up and put away when use kitchen facilities.

Warm, dry, well laid out and clean.
No access between 10am - 5pm as reception closed, and no door code issued with booking.

The staff were so welcoming and engaging, with having good conversation with the cook and receptionist.
The layout of the building is really nice with plenty of communal rooms to choose from.
Choice of games and pool table were great to see.
Breakfast was not bad and a good price for the options especially with being unlimited.
Cleanliness was not great, particularly in the disability shower room.
The place could really do with having some of its areas freshly painted or at least touched up in some areas.

Friendly and helpful staff...a well equiped communal kitchen and great value for money
I was in the same corridor as a school group and it was really noisy at times but they never kept me awake and it is a youth hostel after all.

Simple, cheap, friendly, good location. Nice big self catering kitchen.
Think there could be storage to leave rucksacks on checkout day. Bike shed outside although locked doesn’t feel like an ok place to leave bags. Eg toilet nearest kitchen is huge maybe could have a cupboard or lockers inside it. Otherwise maybe lockers in a corridor area.

Very well located and very close to the train station and a very convenient Tesco store at the end of the road.
Cheap accommodation and exactly what I needed.
Clean rooms and clean bedding and very peaceful and quiet in the evening.
Breakfast was good on one out of the two days
Very Noisy come 7am, squeaky floorboards above woke me along with Many slamming doors at 7am…. I hadn’t slept well due to the bunk bed mattress being quite hard.
The community kitchen seemed well equipped but it took me a long time to actually FIND IT…..
Maybe better Signage could be put in place as it’s not in an obvious place???….. all I wanted to do was fill up my water bottle!
Breakfast on the second day was over dried, had been on the hot plate way too long, certainly not fresh, the bacon was inedible

Well organised and everything we needed was available. Really good quality breakfast was appreciated.
Fixed times for reception to arrive caught us out so had to stand out in the cold after a long bike ride to get there.

Location is excellent, within easy walk of Sheringham.Breakfast was good, enough choice.
Bed was hard for me, but that wouldn’t stop me staying again, everything else is spot on.

Location was perfect close to Heathrow and other amenities.
Kettle was not cleaned in the kitchen.
2.0 / 10.0
Central location with plenty of parking.
Probably the worst YH I’ve stayed at. Very dated and felt very dirty throughout. For some reason the bunks were pushed up against an exposed built in wardrobe so spent most mornings trying to find items which had fallen in to the hole. Very limited bar facilities and no d of your usual local products.

The best thing was the affordability of the accommodation. I shared a bunk room with my daughter which was small but beds were new and all decorated recently. Breakfast was perhaps overpriced at £10 extra each since it was a limited choice and quality, but they did manage to offer a hot selection and it was convenient.

Nice location, close to supermarket, free parking. Kitchen facilities
Booked Three singles beds, but got very small room with double bed and single on the top. For three adults was too small, but we managed as it was only one night. Would not stay more in that room.

Rooms were functional and comfortable. Loved the self-catering kitchen, really handy. Surprisingly quiet at night considering it is a hostel. The bed was comfy and managed a decent sleep for the 2 nights we were there. Location was brilliant. Less than 10 minutes to the sea front and shops. Tesco literally around the corner. Plenty of parking but does fill up quickly.
The reception is shut between 10am-5pm. We arrived at 4 pm and needed to check in and get to a concert almost an hour away, but we had to sit waiting. Otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten our key as we would have been back after 10pm when it closes again.

Nice comfortable lounges, good self catering facilities and nice canteen area.
Plastic mattresses were not great and toilet and shower were basic in nature.
5.0 / 10.0
The location was perfect.
Both catered & selfcatering choices worked well.
Staff were helpful.
The dormitory was very small to cater for 6 females.
When it was full it became very hot with so many bodies in a small space.
No room to put your Luggage, especially for the top bunks.

Good location and cheap. Fresh, crisp linen.
It felt grubby and run down.

I had a spare duvet to put on the bed as the mattresses are plastic covered and slip against the sheets. Without this mattress is a bit basic.

Staff was pleasant and relaxed. There was plenty of areas where you could chill in the evening. Self-catering kitchen was well equipped. Easy access to the seafront and all the amenities.
The hostel is boasting about it being 3 stars. I'd say it's more than 2 and I'm being generous here.
The rooms are small and very basic. In our twin room there was one socket on the wall next to the door... nothing near the bed.
My friend's family room was also cramped and smelled badly. They have complained that there was constant noise outside from people going out to smoke and talking loud outside their windows+ walking/driving on the gravelled path. Definitely not worth £90! you can easily find B&B for less or far better quality! I don't know when hostels became so expensive... definitely not value for money anymore.
On our floor there was many rooms, with thin partition walls. I could hear our neighbours talking in normal voice.
Don't get me even started on the slamming door concerto! it started about 5:30am and went all the way until I couldn't stand it any longer and got up an hour before my alarm! May I add I wore silicone earplugs, yet it was still unbearable :-(
The shower room on our floor was really off putting. It had one hook to hang something on it and nothing else to place your clothes/towels to keep it dry.
The shower head could not be regulated and it was splashing water on the floor, also wetting my hair which I didn't want to get wet.
Overall, It's a massive disappointment as I stayed in fair few YHA hostels and had far better experience.
Having travelled extensively through Europe, where I mostly stayed in hostels, I can say that YHA hostels could do much better. They don't charge any less from privately owned ones.
