Fantastic food, drink and a very comfortable weekend stay.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean, very comfy and the bed was huge! We felt welcome and although left to our own devices, staff were easy to find and happy to help. The property is situated a short walk from the town, perfect if you want to be set slightly away from the main hustle and bustle. The food was absolutely outstanding and the service fast and efficient. We will definitely stay again.

No real complaints; if we had to offer slight moan the parking is first come first served and we did struggle the first evening, however we were parked just outside within an hour of arriving. So other than the bother of moving the car, it was fine. Would love to see updated coffee facilities in the room but that’s just personal preference.

Overall very cosy stay for a few days, the room was lovely, and the staff were all very friendly. Complimentary continental breakfast was a nice surprise, and had more than enough choices. Location made it easy to nip out for the day, and despite being on the main road, the rooms were lovely and quiet. Overall, very clean and modern room and bathroom.

There's not really anything I didn't like about this stay. If I had to say anything, it would be the fact that the rooms did get very warm, but a fan was provided, so this was less of an issue. The bed and floorboards were a bit squeaky but that comes with the nature of old buildings, so it didn't really bother us. There were a few marks on the walls but they looked like it was just from general wear and tear. All very minor things that wouldn't deter us from staying here again in the slightest.

Friendly staff. Lovely big cosy warm room with huge bed. Clean and spacious bathroom. Great location. The complimentary breakfast was a lovely added extra too as we were not expecting that.

The only issues were a slightly strange smell on entering the room and a very slow to drain sink. ? the source of the smell.

Comfortable, very good cooked food

That was the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. The bed was especially comfortable. The cooked brunch was amazing and I didn't/couldn't eat again until the evening. There was a Christmas card on the bed when I arrived. I was surprised and thought it was a lovely thoughtful touch. Staff, on the whole, were kind, pleasant and helpful. It was only a short walk to the town.

The free WiFi didn't work for me and you had to put an app onto your phone to watch the TV in the bedroom, which I couldn't do. The upstairs and downstairs didn't work on the same system either. Different passwords were required but no-one knew the one for upstairs bedrooms. The place was not very warm. However the bathroom was lovely and warm. The sat nav was good until reaching the last bit. Not good to the actual premises. However, once I found it, I knew the area and the easy direct route in and out.

We would stay here again very central for the North Norfolk railway.

The breakfast was continental, the room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was good with good quality towels. We slept well in a very comfortable bed. The staff were helpful we had an evening meal which was very good. The fridge on the landing was a very good idea. And the bottle opener too.

We couldn't get the internet code so couldn't watch the television. No information in the book in the room. We got back to the pub at 9.30pm just as all the staff were leaving so there wasn't anyone to ask. Once we got to the room.

Good value for money

The location was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size as was the ensuite. Good shower with rainfall shower. Even though the room faced the road the double glazing was very effective. There was a supply of tea and coffee etc. The bed was comfortable. The onsite restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices.

The first night the wifi was down in the room. However this was sorted the following day and was great. The only real problem was the side door which was locked at night and it was difficult to unlock Got a different key which was better.

Good location, comfortable rooms, good food and drink selection.

The room was very fresh and clean, plenty of storage and drawers and a good size. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet giving us a good nights sleep. Food in the restaurant was good and freshly cooked. All the staff were helpful. The Tavern is a short walk from the train station and in a quieter area which suited us. Not far from the high street shops and beach about, a ten minute flat walk. Good selection of ales.

The drain on the shower blocked after the first use but was sorted quickly. Our first meal had the main dish served before the starters. On return from our day out we found that the bed hadn't been made up and our cups were still dirty from the morning. The towels had been replaced though. It was a shame as the rest of our stay was good.

Location was ideal to walk into Sheringham. As a group we had a nice evening meal, and the food was amazing, the rooms were clean, and the tea, coffee making facilities were ideal. BONUS, the Sheringham Steam and Diesel rail

Not many parking spaces, when arriving later, The restaurant stopped for food at 8pm, however we did not arrive until 8pm and we were not made aware of this before we went to our room to freshen up. The room that we occupied was nicely set out however was very windy if leaving the bathroom window open! And the biggest downer for me was the step down into the bathroom, quite a big step and if you have had a drink? there in my Opinion should be a CAUTION sign on the bathroom door as a REMINDER

Absolutely wonderful, relaxing, & very welcomed

The location of the fishmongers tavern was excellent, as we had booked a ride on the sherringham lunch train. We only had one mornings breakfast. Which was the smoked haddock...(So we didn't try the full English) Our evening meal was superb, the atmosphere was wonderful & this reflected in all the diners. Very friendly staff...we were greeted very welcoming & even had our bags carried to our room...

I would say the parking was a little cramped, But due to the taverns position I think there was very little that could be done about this ....
