Ciarus

I had a great experience at Ciarus. Overall, Strasbourg is a city I loved, but staying at this place allowed me to enjoy my visit even more. All the staff members were always very friendly and helpful; even though I don't speak French, they were always doing their best to help me in English, and some even in Spanish, always with a smile. There staff at the reception 24/7, which also gave me peace of mind in case of any questions or issues. ​Additionally, they have a secure and free luggage storage room to keep your bags while you explore the city after checking out, which was a huge help. Check-in and check-out were super fast and easy. ​Vibe: It’s a hostel meant for resting. I noticed there were many older people, and I really liked that because I needed to rest and be comfortable; I wasn't looking to socialize or join nightlife activities like in a party hostel, so if that's what you're after, this isn't the place. In fact, I loved it because it also has very nice and comfortable areas to study and work quietly. There is harmony, the decor is modern and artistic, everything works very well, and they maintain it constantly. ​Note: ​-The rooms do not have lockers; they only have small cubbies where you can place your things, but not lock them up. Even so, I never had a problem—the people were always very respectful so I didn't feel it was unsafe to leave my backpack there while I was out all day. ​-There is no communal kitchen or refrigerator to store your food, so there’s no option to buy groceries and cook there. However, there is a small bar in the hostel and a wide variety of food options in the city. The best idea is to buy or make a sandwich or picnic-style meal and go eat by the canals, and of course try tarte flambée! ​*Room: Everything was super nice. The beds are very comfortable, and towels were always clean, soft, and smelled so good. The same goes for the sheets, pillows, and comforter. The bathroom is in great condition, equipped with soap and shampoo, and the water temperature and pressure were always excellent, making showers very pleasant. ​*Area: The neighborhood is super pretty and quiet. It is set away from the bustle of the streets and nightlife spots; I was even able to sleep with the window open every night without noise outside. Yet, it’s only a 20-minute walk through lovely streets to reach the main sights, or you can take the tram located 5 minutes away, making it very accessible on foot. ​*The cherry on top: Since I stayed in a female-only dorm, I ended up meeting three super sweet girls with whom I explored the city with. Everyone here has been incredibly warm, respectful, and kind. ​I was initially going to stay for only 2 nights, but I ended up extending my stay for 3 more nights because I loved everything. For the price, I thought it was a great option, and I will definitely come back and recommend.

Very kind staffs, clean facilities, just a few minutes walk from the cathedral area, etc.

Not for ppl who want to sleep in peace but not many options as prices are so high in high season
