Just idyllic

Well presented and clean room in an idyllic village setting. Steps from several places to eat and drink. Excellent view from the room. Very quiet and peaceful location.

Not much interaction from staff, would have been helpful to have a telephone in the room to contact the staffed hotel further into the village.

I was free upgraded in Hotel Sovana, which is from the same owner, while the first reservation in Hotel Scila was full. Absolutely fabulous place in historical town, with colorful garden, surrounded with olive trees and wineyards. Breakfast delicious and very reach. Stuff very kind. It is a super point on the top of hills, u can reach nearby must seen Pitigliano, Sorano and enjoy Saturnia termal cascade.

Good for a night :)

We booked this hotel but were upgraded to another hotel, which was pretty nice! The hotel was quaint and in a quiet little town. The rooms were decent, with a comfy bed :)

It said free parking but the street was blocked off and we struggled to find somewhere to park. We called the hotel but did not receive a reply, so we parked in outside on the street and in the morning our car was completely iced up! There was also no kettle and mugs in the room :(.

Not the hotel it used to be....

Not the hotel it used to be - just rooms with no staff, services or food. Comfortable enough for a night but disappointing for me given my previous stay here where it was a very good experience. Perhaps they are still recovering after Covid times.

Magic, clean, calm and with tuscan atmosphere.

Small hotel resort in a magic little town Sovana. I loved their cosmetics with unique smell (you can buy it at the reception desk) and the swimming pool and olive grove!

We booked a room at Hotel Scilla but were relocated to the the Sovana Hotel & Resort (same owners) at no extra cost. The hotel staff were very communicative and answered questions via booking.com quickly. I cannot comment on the Hotel Scilla but the Sovana Hotel & Resort is very lovely with a wonderful garden & hedge maze that guests can explore.

We were upgraded to the Sovana Resort at the same price. Great hotel with very quiet and spacious rooms, great breakfast and extremely friendly staff.

Romantic location, great views in a small village. Breakfast very good.

Room with 2 small windows under the roof. In case of fire there's no way to escape. Building was not the address mentioned on the booking.

Overpriced, unfriendly staff

Reasonably clean Sovana is nice, but not worth to stay a night inside the town. Better take something outside.

Tiny rooms Unfriendly and unorganized staff Our room was initially not ready (at the checkin time of 2pm), after making us wait for half an hour they wanted to put us in a broom closet in some side building. Then they explained that there was a technical issue in the main building and they were completly full and we would have to wait 2 hours to get a room there. After we complained they still gave us a somewhat bigger room in the side building and we accepted it.

Very cute little village!

The woman at the Check-in was very kind and happy. She did a quick check-in and showed us the way to the room. A very clean and comfortable room, also with a fridge with water in it. Nice! We loved the little village and we will definately reccomend it! (And lets just say the personel at the breakfast were just not quite awake that day ;) )

The personel at breakfast was quite unreachable. They did not respond to our "Buongiorno" and also when we were seated, they completely ignored us. When we dicided to take a plate and take some food of the breakfast buffet, they came quite angry to us to tell us that we cannot take the food by ourselves. Really confusing... also the other quests had this situation.

It is right in the centre. It was amazing to be there. Small stone city with very nice atmosphere and good restaurant overthere. We enjoyed it!

I just could not find the accomodation and the reception for picking up the key. So I had to ask someone.

Accoglienza perfetta con tutte le indicazioni nel dettaglio, struttura pulitissima con orari flessibili. Il parcheggio privato dentro la zona pedonale ha aggiunto punteggio alla mia valutazione.

Forse la colazione inclusa sarebbe stata gradita.

Un Paesino fuori dal tempo, impensabile. Assolutamente consigliabile

la posizione sulla piazzetta di Sovana è unica. Il personale è gentilissimo ed è pulito. Non abbiamo dormito all'hotel Scilla, ma alla Taverna, che è la depandance: alcune stanze sono un pò piccoline. Non servono la colazione, ma al Bar sotto fanno un ottimo cappuccino e brioche fresche e fragranti

Paese molto grazioso

Sovana é un piccolo paese molto grazioso, ben tenuto e sembra iun set cinematografico. Hotel senza colazione ma vicinissimo c’é un bar fornitissimo per la colazione. Il personale è stato gentilissimo, all arrivo ci si deve rivolgere al vicino ristorante per avere le chiavi e per il codice apriportoncino. La sera abbiamo cenato nel ristorante annesso all hotel. Parcheggio a pagamento ma si trova tranquillamente anche senza pagamento. Tutto ok

Il paese di Sovana é da visitare e certamente in poco tempo riesci a visitarlo tutto. Purtroppo in tutto il paese il cellulare non prende. La stanza e tutto l’hotel é piuttosto caldo.

bellissima struttura in un incantevole borgo

Avevamo prenotato c/o albergo scilla salvo poi beneficiare di un upgrade gentilmente offerto dalla proprietà che ci ha offerto una camera presso il resort **** di Sovana allo stesso prezzo. Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e ci siamo sentite a casa. La struttura è molto bella, arredata con gusto, offre un parco con piscina, attrezzato per la stagione estiva. Si trova in via del duomo a 2 passi dal centro, dove si possono notare tanti adorabili gattini a fare da cornice a questo piccolissimo ma incantevole borgo. La sera abbiamo cenato alla Taverna Etrusca, sempre di proprietà della struttura, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Da visitare anche la cattedrale a 50 mt dalla struttura. Sovana è in posizione strategica per visitare Sorano e Pitigliano, altri due borghi davvero incantevoli. E' stato un soggiorno veramente piacevole.

Albergo in posizione strategica per le escursioni in zona. Camera abbastanza piccola con arredo essenziale, ma letto comodo. Prodotti da bagno di alta qualità.

La tenda in pvc in doccia, a mio avviso poco igienica. Sarebbe opportuno installare un box doccia.
