This is an exceptionally special place both the hotel, owner, staff and breakfast not to mention the garden and duomo at its footstep…Sovana is very special unlike anywhere I’ve been.

Comfortable hotel in an elegant old house with beautiful gardens and a swimming pool. Excellent breakfast. The off-site hotel restaurant also very good.

Full of charm and very welcoming.
The cats ( numerous) meant use of the outside facilities were limited unless you really like cats bothering you.

the a/c in both our rooms were only there for show, and barely worked to provide any relief from the heat. Lounge chairs around the pool were not very comfortable. Hotel restaurant was closed the day we got there. A bit difficult to find how to get there by car without instructions (that the hotel did not provide). Too bad because the location is great and the grounds beautiful.
