The only hotel we ever stay at in Genoa

We have stayed before and it is consistently excellent, I wish every hotel was to this standard. Spotlessly clean, high quality everything. The breakfast is excellent with a great variety & quality ingredients. We travelled with our dog and they placed a dog bed, bowls and blanket in the room, which he loved. Highly recommend this hotel and enjoy a drink in the piano bar for the ambience.

I don’t know how this place got its 5 star rating.

Staff was excellent

The cleaning service was bare minimum. Sometimes our cups weren’t even replaced. The towels also had a bad smell. The rooms have an outdated design. Breakfast felt like a cafeteria both in food and service. We can’t complain however, the price was very low.

We liked everything about the Hotel. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was perfect, with attention to comfort and quality. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was exceptional. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The view from our window was spectacular.

Lovely hotel upgrade to 5⭐️ sister nextdoor.

We were upgraded to their 5⭐️ (Grand Hotel Savoia) next door which was exceptional! Beautiful buffet breakfast and extremely helpful and attentive staff. Room was very comfortable with many pillow options.

The property was amazing, but the area around the hotel felt a little dodgy with a small police presence.

We would come back!

-We asked for an upgrade and the room was great and big enough with our cat. -BKFST was fine and we would have liked a few more fresh fruits. -Location was great and walking distance to center and port. -The GYM was also great and very clean and big enough

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Continental Genova. The location is excellent, right next to the train station, which made getting around the city super convenient. The facilities are also a big plus – the gym and SPA were clean, modern, and well-maintained, great for relaxing after a day of exploring. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful, which really made a difference in the overall experience.

The breakfast, while fresh and decent, felt a bit too simple for my taste – I would have appreciated a bit more variety or creativity. Also, the interior design is in an 1800s style, which, while clearly intentional and in good condition, just isn’t my personal preference. The furniture and decor, although well-kept, gave off a slightly outdated feel, even though the hotel is clearly refurbished and well maintained.

A lovely start to our Italian vacation.

A very sweet, and beautiful boutique hotel. We were welcomed after a late arrival, with fresh water, and champagne. Our room was immaculate, well-appointed, and enormous. Lovely French doors that opened up to a city-wide view. The most comfortable bed and crisp white sheets. Breakfast was standard and simple, but the coffee was perfectly strong. Staff were exceptional, helpful, and always available.

Perfect

The facilities are perfect. The hotel is connected to a 5 star sister hotel which allows the use of their SPA and bar. Located ideally next to the train station which allows an adventurous tourist easy access to trains beaches, down town, Pisa and Monaco.
