Beautiful property to rest in after long forest hike-a-bikes!

Beautiful historic property, well equipped and friendly host who didn't mind our calling with questions. The welcome pack had a lovely section on Thetfords history. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed and more, and the shower was lovely. Very clean.

The bulb on the fridge was broken which meant it seemed like it wasn't working but was. I couldn't get the light on the cooker hood to work or the heated towel rail. A bikerack and a footstool for the sofa would have been a nice addition, but on the whole everything was grand.

A place to chill

Nicely located, easy to access, a great place to spend some quality time alone or with friends.

The only 'fly in the ointment'? There weren't enough instant coffee sachets.

Centrally located, good for small agile people.

Keys were easy to collect from the lock box. All the cooking facilities worked and there was a decent selection of utensils, cookware, and dinnerware to prepare meals. Location was excellent for exploring shops and historic sites. The pub across the way was lovely.

The shower cubicle opening is tiny, like maybe 14" if I'm being generous. You have to step up into it sideways. My husband literally could not get in to wash. Luckily, I had a friend nearby who let him go round and shower. The steps to the bed in the loft are quite steep. I found it easier to use them as a ladder.

Idyllic setting in the middle of the English countryside

The owner is always there to help you and will check to make sure you have everything you need. BBQ and deck overlook a pond. Perfect place for a group to stay as there are multiple rooms with en-suite bath all sharing a common kitchen and living room. Beds are very comfortable. En-suite bath is large and has great shower. Large armoire to keep your clothes and suitcase.

Exceptional

Thank you for the gift of your place in Thetford where we have dear friends we have visited many times. We’ve stayed at several establishments but your historic spot is one we loved the most. I shall tell my students about it this fall. Warm wishes. We are based at an Airbnb in Isleworth for a month. Wish we could leave you a review but our dear friend booked your place on our behalf. We enjoyed staying at the property and it met our needs perfectly

The sitting area was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom very good. Throughout, the decor was attractive. The location was excellent. Although the bedroom was small, it was comfortable and nicely decorated. The accommodation was perfect for a couple.

We were a bit apprehensive about the steep stairs to the bedroom but got used to that quickly.

I really like these places the offer great breaks

This bungalow was like the other at no 55 but I like both really the lock on the front was changed during my stay but I was helped by the owner came with spare key and the landlord at the public house was very helpful too I do appreciate what he did and the owner it didn't put me off my stay I shall come again in the new year and maybe Easter too I do enjoy staying here and it's very handy to whatever I do during my stay I went to the coast too had a lovely break thank you once again for helping me sort the lock matter out too

Only when I arrived the public house was shut till 6pm the owner came with a spare key that's the only small matter which was sorted out

Superb

Lovely cottage with plenty of character, which gave it a very homely feel and made for a very pleasant stay. The kitchen facilities were excellent whilst the living room had everything you could possibly want.

Well-equipped cottage

It is beautifully decorated with a lovely little patio out the back. I loved the ambience - very relaxing. Lots of things there to make the stay comfortable - towels, hand towels, tea towels in the kitchen, well supplied kitchen. Excellent location. The shower room was lovely too.

The stairs to the upstairs bedroom were a bit scary - it did warn on the description that it was not suitable for people who had mobility issues. They are very steep.

A nice mini break in thetford

I think this place is lovely it was very nice and not far to go into the town I will stay again at some point the place had all I what I wanted the cooker was much better than mine at home I liked the blinds too going light and dark too nice big kitchen too nice TV too I slept well too nice bed too I liked all the rooms even had a lady come to check I was OK that was nice thanks

Only thing was on my arrival the last guest left the rubbish on the side towels on floor in shower room bed wasn't made up I had to sort it but didn't spoil my stay I really enjoyed it thank you

The rooms were clean and the house had everything you needed. Great location on the edge of town near facilities and the park.

The road was a bit noisy but may be due to bank holiday and better weather, and the WiFi wasn't great it kept going off, but easily rectified.
