St Giles, Thetford, 2BR House

Breakfast wasn't an option with our accommodation. The location was especially convenient for our family event. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet.

The stairs were too steep, not suitable for older people and people with bad knees

The location of the property was excellent. Everything within walking distance including Dad's Army Museum. It had Everything we needed and was extremely clean. Easy check in and out

Says parking but it’s a free car park round the back for everyone to use with no guarantee of a space noting two cars had windows smashed in them presenting a worry when leaving decent car there The back door was very difficult to lock from the outside so we ended up using the front all the time Strict instructions on the use of property were given almost making you feel like a student with no visitors day or night . Our son was staying at the premiere inn as he was in a running event and couldn’t come for a cup of tea . Property felt like student accommodation numbers on doors in need of refurbishing and decorating and a good deep clean too. Couldn’t find instructions in the property on how to use oven -we couldn’t get it to get warm . Kitchen had minimal crockery and cutlery 6 of each which was written on every drawer cupboard etc Dishwasher needed to be put on regular to ensure we had a glass or. Cup or plate to use. The lounge was like I say what you would expect student accommodation to be there was a 3 seater sofa bed to sit there was 4 of us staying in the property so had to sit on a dining chair when we wanted to relax. The bathroom was very small and shower was small had mould on the rim at the bottom There were standard bath towels which were very thin . Staircase was extremely steep with twist in it and with the bathroom downstairs was a problem getting up going down in the night to use the bathroom Beds were lumpy and old only one pillow each where I normally have 2

Very easy to find, the shower was fantastic with plenty of hot water. The kitchen was fully equipped. knives were lovely and sharp, and plenty of crockery .Tea and coffee and sugar were provided which was a nice touch ,right on the edge of town too very easily accessible to shops and restaurants. Hive heating system, very user-friendly, warms up very quickly. Bedlinen lovely and clean and smelt great. would probably stay again if the mattresses were more comfortable and the pillows were pillows were better quality.

Kitchen floor was very dirty, the beds were very hard and the pillows were lumpy and flat. The bathroom towels were really small . The kitchen towel was tiny . Not enough seating in the lounge for a family of 4 to watch TV together without having to use a dining chair. The sofa was very uncomfortable and dipped in the middle. The carpet up the stairs was incredibly worn and dirty, so our white socks got incredibly dirty , had to wipe down the banister as it had some kind of residue on it.

We had a lovely stay at this spacious accommodation at the centre of Thetford. Communication with the host was very good and the guest house had all the facilities that we needed. Definitely worth a stay.

They only negative point was the steep and narrow staircase which led down from the bedrooms to the ground level. This is generally not a problem but elderly people should be aware of it.

Very nice accommodation. Easy to park. shops, pub's and food take out in easy walking distance.

Stairs very steep,not good for elderly or restricted movement. Shower very snug.

The location was near shopping and historical buildings (Thetford Priory). The apartment was comfortable for our family of four, and it has a full kitchen and washer.
