We recently stayed at Rocklands Retreat for the first time as part of our visit to Norfolk, which also happened to be our very first time exploring this beautiful part of the country. We were looking for somewhere peaceful, close to nature, and ideal for celebrating my wife's birthday — and Rocklands Retreat ticked every box. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The host, Ann, was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay special. To our surprise and delight, she had even arranged some thoughtful birthday decorations in the lodge, which really added a personal touch and made the occasion feel even more special. The accommodation itself was immaculate and extremely well-equipped — you genuinely only need to bring yourselves. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and hassle-free stay is provided, which we found very convenient. One of the highlights for us was the private hot tub. It was spotless, well-maintained, and perfect for unwinding after a day out. We spent a good amount of time there simply relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The location is also ideal — wonderfully tranquil yet only around 30 minutes' drive from Norwich city centre, which makes it easy to explore both countryside and city life. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Rocklands Retreat is a hidden gem and made our short getaway truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax, celebrate, or simply enjoy a slice of Norfolk's natural charm.
