Grange Clarendon Hotel

The location was great, it was clean and the staff were lovely.

The property didn’t have aircon although they did provide us with a fan it was still very warm in the basement. The shower head was not adjustable making showering difficult especially if you don’t want to wash your hair. The sink was also blocked in the bathroom.

The hotel location is ideal, especially considering the affordable room rate. The room was above average size and was well stocked with everyone you need for a short stay. It was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.

I visited the hotel in the summer heatwave of late June 2026 and it was unbearable in London. Sadly, the room didn't have air con which meant it was far too hot, I was sweating constantly. I had to have the window wide open and despite my 3rd floor room, the noise was sometimes disruptive but not constant. I will definitely use the hotel again, purely for location if nothing else, just not during a heat wave.

Great location and large comfy rooms

The location of the hotel is great! Just a 10min walk from all the stores in Oxford Street/Camden Garden, and also close to bus & train stations so you can get around London pretty easily. Staff of the hotel are kind and always available when needed. My check-in was made on time.

Being Latin American I have high standards for breakfast, and the breakfast at the Grange Clarendon is very basic and all the food contemplated in their standard breakfast package is mostly cold options. For example, when it comes to eggs, they only offer them boiled (AND with shells, maybe it's an English thing). Other protein sources will include only turkey - if you'd like other protein sources you'd have to pay extra. Also, my bedroom had some electricity issue: a few lamps weren't working, I could only charge my phone in the bathroom since it was the only outlet working, and the water in the shower wasn't hot enough. Anyway, this is an average hotel that offers you the basic - I only stayed there for 2 nights so it was sufficient. If you're looking for a longer stay in London, I'd definitely recommend you look for a nicer hotel.
