Fantastic!

Would highly recommend. The hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming. The food is home made and really tasty. The hosts try their best to cater to all your needs. There are also some happy looking cows.

The only issue was that there was no hand soap in the toilet.

Hosts were fantastic and the breakfast delicious!

Loved the history (built in 1647).

It’s a long way from Jesenice where we ended our Juliana Trail Stage 2. Luckily, the server from our dinner restaurant gave us a ride up.

Real home away from home

We had a fabulous stay at Dom Pristava. We’re actually coming back to stay there again. Highly recommended. Beautiful location, everything is clean, owners / staff are super friendly, nothing is an issue. Great breakfast too!

A remote place of serene beauty and warm hospitality

Our two weeks of Juliana Trail backpack trekking started in Dom Pristava and we have fallen in love with the charm and warm hospitality of this remote place in the mountains above Jesenice. The hotel building is very old with thick walls so cool and quiet at night. Rooms and shared bathrooms are simple but comfortable and super clean. Owners are lovely people, super helpful and flexible, it was no problem to have a late home made dinner. The location is simply fantastic, with a large grass terrace overshadowed by a couple of ages old trees. We changed our holiday schedule to end our hiking adventure where it started and we will always remember Dom Pristava as a place a serene beauty and warm Slovenian hospitality.

A little piece of heaven

This place is a charm, you just feel relaxed with all the nature surrondings, if you have young children there is a playground and you can enjoy some really homemade delicious food. The room was clean and confortable. The hosts are the most kind people, they go beyond to make their guests feel at home. Our car had a problem at 7:30 on a sunday and Joze, the host, did everything to help us.

A beautiful place, run by fantastic people in an amazing location!

The place is in a fantastic location up a fun drive to near the top of a small mountain. It’s absolutely beautiful. The food 🥘 s local and very tasty. Eggs are from their own chickens! The staff were amazing. We got greeted with a drink after a long drive through Germany and Austria was most welcome! The couple who run the place are simply outstanding. The beds are clean, and the rooms basic, but that is all you need to expect. Will definitely be returning again and again!

Great location. Great host. Nothing to complain about the owner. We called in advance to let them know that we would have dinner.. and when we actually arrived, we were served with warm food.

A wonderful historical building. Super nature. Loads of walking trails. Delicious meals. Delightful dogs. Dragica and Joze were truly the most wonderful kind friends. They gave me such a amazing experience. I didn't get to do much walking because of the weather. If Fortune allows me I will be back 😆

The location in the mountains north of Jesenice was beautiful and near lots of hiking paths. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Dragisza is a good cook and Josep gave me a lift back into town.

Rewarding hostel at the top of the mountain

We liked the welcome and how warm and nice the staff was. The blankets were perfectly warm and we had a wonderful breakfast and dinner. They also stored safely our bikes.

Being there in mid-April, the rooms were very cold, even with the heaters on. Although under the blankets was fine, the rooms where not for more than to sleep.

It's in a wonderful location up in the hills, away from everything. Good walking trails (but I didn't have time to explore them) Excellent breakfast: too much variety to try in one visit!

I didn't mind, but be aware the rooms are very basic, no frills. The road up the the property is long, narrow and winding, with some tight hairpins. Not ideal after a long day on a motorbike. (worth it though!)

We would definitely recommend this location to everyone who is looking for a good time in nature. :)

The hosts were very friendly and even picked us up from the train station as we didn't have an access to a car. We just ate there once in the evening and it was very nice. Dom Pristava is a perfect point for starting a good hike e.g. to Golica. Lake Bled and the Vintgar Gorge aren't far away either. Furthermore, the atmosphere is cozy, you feel near to nature and it is quiet, but also filled with life. There were towels and a hair dryer and a sink in the room. You can communicate with the hosts in German, English and Slovenian.

There were just two vegetarian options in the menu and no vegan ones. It would be very nice if there were more vegetarian or even vegan meal offers.

I had a wonderful time in Dom Pristava. The hosts are very, very kind! And the food they create is delicious. The location is great to do diverse hikes up to the mountains above Jesenice, even end of October. It's warm, clean and you feel relaxed there. Hvala!

Everything was more than great, the housekeepers Joza and Dragica were very welcoming, kind, warm and talkative. The facilities were clean, very well upkept and warm, keeping in mind that the hut is high in the mountains. Location is also good, the triglav national park is about a 30 minute drive, also there are many local hiking trails nearby. Would visit again 10/10

Fantastic owners and staff very friendly. Located in a beautiful location I could not want for more... lovely food with generous portions quiet and relaxing so much so I stayed an extra night and was sad to leave I will visit again many thanks for your hospitality
