Well equipped rooms, a superb kitchen and a welcoming bar provide a quality stay here, but where The Bell really excels is in its well-trained and efficient staff. Every single one of them is genial, positive and helpful. It makes such a difference and the management is to be congratulated on providing that standard of service. The food is a cut above many similar establishments and, look, there's only one way of saying this: fried bread. I'd travel 180 miles for that breakfast. And I did. And probably will do again.
Bed is alarmingly soft but you get used to it. A cafetiere would be a welcome addition in the room but that's just me being picky.
