The Hotel was excellent and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was excellent. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended and will definitely stay here again if we are working in the area again.

An ok hotel for a short stay. Staff friendly and rooms ok.

I had a nice room which was big with plenty of space. The breakfast was nice and cooked to order and the staff in the morning were very good. Especially the lady that checked me out.

My room wasn't ready when I arrived (at 18:30) which has never happened to me in 30 years of staying in hotels. I was asked to wait, not long but it was annoying after a long drive. I was offered drink but wasn't told it was on the house until after (so I was reticent to accept one). My room wasn't clean, there were hairs on the bed and floor was dirty. I couldn't be bothered to raise it as I just wanted to go to sleep. The hotel is on a main road at a crossroads and is quiet noisy. Wifi was slow.

Perfect stay and the most lovely and welcoming staff!

We spent the first 2 nights after our wedding here in the Queen Suite and it was perfect! The staff were exceptional, they allowed us to drop our luggage off the evening before which allowed us 1 thing less to think about on the day of.

Claydon is a quiet and friendly village with essential facilities, supermarket, corner shop, pharmacy, pub etc. Claydon is in easy reach of the A14 and nearby Ipswich, Stowmarket, Bury st Edmunds. All the food served at the Claydon Hotel is home cooked and very good. The service from all the staff is excellent. They all go the extra mile in looking after their customers

An enjoyable few days away.

Asked for a walk in shower & the room went one better with a "wet room". All team helpful & friendly. Breakfasts: Freshly cooked. Plenty of parking. They also do a "fine dining" menu in their restaurant which we used two evenings of our stay. A good place to base oneself for a holiday in Suffolk.

Our room was close to the road & despite multiple glazing we were affected by passing traffic at night.

Hospitality is key for this hotel's staff

We had to leave just before official breakfast time to get to the ferry in time and so asked for the possibility of a "to go" breakfast. Instead, the very friendly staffmember Marina offered to prepare us full breakfast extra early. Thank you so much for your hospitality and good service!

Perfect respite in convenient location

Very conveniently placed just off the A14, welcoming and very helpful staff, delicious evening meal, quiet and comfortable room on ground floor close to car park.

Just a small problem, but unless you are a giant the shower gel is positioned far too high when standing in the bath!

Did not experience any hotel meal. Many cheaper more value for money venues close. Only used the room which was a standard hotel room anywhere. I expected no more and the visit was okay.
