About this house rental

We’re excited to welcome guests again after taking a break from hosting, and we look forward to providing a seamless and memorable stay.

This fully furnished, move-in-ready executive home is situated on just over an acre of gently sloping land in the peaceful western hills of Sonoma wine country, just a scenic 15-minute drive (five miles) from Sonoma Plaza. Offering more than 2,500 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space, the home blends contemporary style with classic California influences—ideal for a comfortable and extended wine country retreat. It is especially well-suited for one to two couples and makes a perfect pied-à-terre escape from San Francisco during the beautiful September and October season.

The open-concept living and dining areas flow effortlessly onto an expansive wraparound deck, fully furnished for both entertaining and relaxation. Enjoy outdoor dining at a 14-foot farm table beneath a Tucci umbrella, unwind on cushioned seating, and take in serene hillside views and the surrounding natural landscape.

The home is thoughtfully divided into two distinct sections. A light-filled glass hallway—serving as a gallery for art and travel photography—leads to the private bedroom wing. The spacious primary suite features a king bed, a luxurious en-suite bath with double sinks, a large walk-in glass shower, and heated floors, along with a 55” mounted TV. Two additional guest bedrooms include a well-appointed king suite and a bright queen room, each offering peaceful views of the hills or rose garden. An elegant guest bathroom provides added comfort for visitors.

The second section of the home is the expansive “great room,” where walls of windows and glass doors fill the space with natural light. Multiple seating areas offer flexibility for relaxing, reading, or entertaining, with a fireplace and a 60” flat-screen TV anchoring the main living area. The adjoining dining space is highlighted by a striking rustic-modern chandelier and surrounded by custom built-in cabinetry and display shelving.

The gourmet kitchen is designed for both everyday living and elevated cooking experiences, featuring a Viking French door double oven, additional oven, Thermador six-burner gas range, built-in microwave/convection oven, and Caesarstone countertops. A large kitchen bar provides ample seating, while the butler’s pantry—complete with a second sink, two dishwashers, and generous storage—adds convenience and functionality, with direct access to the deck.

The monthly rental rate is $8,000 and includes partial utilities (with generous caps), biweekly housekeeping, and gardening services. Guests have full access to the home, the two-acre property, and parking for up to three vehicles. For two-month stays, a membership to a private community club located two blocks away is included, offering a heated swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce ball, and social events.

Prior to arrival, guests receive detailed check-in instructions along with access to a comprehensive digital guidebook covering Wi-Fi, home features, and local recommendations to ensure a smooth and comfortable stay.

Please note: This is a non-smoking property. Pets may be considered on a case-by-case basis. A minimum stay of one month is required, with preference given to one- to two-month rentals. Please inquire for two-month rental pricing.

The owner has done an amazing job decorating this house so you feel right at home and as if you’re at a 5 star hotel, only with so much more convenience, creature comforts and space. We loved that we were away from the congestion of the busy Sonoma Plaza. And yet when we wanted to go there for a meal, it was only a 10-12 minute drive down the hill. We also loved walking every day in the surrounding area of the house. Wineries were all around us with just a 10 to 15 minute drive to get to so many good ones! We loved cooking in the well appointed gourmet kitchen, lounging on the massive deck in the mornings with the newspaper and doing emails, and our family loved gathering around the large farm tables, both inside and outside, for meals and conversation. It was a treat to be able to pick herbs and vegetables from the garden, and I made the best gazpacho I’ve ever made in my life, mostly all from that garden! We had perfect weather and spent so much time out on the deck after wine tasting and hiking in those incredibly comfy rocking chairs, enjoying the tranquility of this place and the beautiful rolling hill views. Please thank the owner for leaving that chocolate chip cookie dough in the fridge for us as well, super yummy cookies! We all can’t wait to come back to the Sonoma Valley, best family vacation ever, and we will definitely rent this place again when we return

Sandra’s place was a wonderful home base for visiting family. The property is exceptional in every way, from the open concept living room and gourmet kitchen to the beautiful outdoor deck with lovely views. The home has everything you could possibly need to feel comfortable with so many details and little touches, like homemade cookie dough in the refrigerator. The bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious and that wing of the house is the perfect place to relax after a long day. The property itself is so tranquil and serene with beautiful gardens in the front and back for you to enjoy. It felt like an oasis, but still so close to Sonoma wineries and restaurants, only a 10-15 minute drive. We highly recommend it for a 5 star getaway!

What a “slice of heaven” this property is on the side of Sonoma Mountain. It is beautifully appointed, recently remodeled and I felt like I was in a French Country Home. From the beautiful sunrise skies to the refreshing warm afternoon breezes of the Petaluma Gap, this home is a true oasis and great vacation spot. We so enjoyed cooking in the large well appointed Gourmet Chefs kitchen, which is part of the Great Room that makes this place great for socializing. The owners also left us a beautiful bottle of wine and some homemade chocolate cookie dough to just pop in the oven ready to go. We rent vacation homes a lot around the world and you can tell that this owner really put a lot of thought into making sure that you had what you needed and would have a memorable stay! The Information Book on what to see & do in Sonoma County ways really helpful. The bathrooms and bedrooms are large, the beds very comfortable with luxurious linens, towels and terrycloth bathrobes, that we felt like we were at a 5/6* hotel property with the luxury of space, tranquility and convenience. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained, we picked fresh vegetables (lettuces, tomatoes, onions, zucchinis, peppers, squash, cucumbers, figs and flowers) every day and used in our cooking and spent many hours in those beautiful rocking chairs and comfy lounge chairs reading, hanging out or at the 12 foot farm table socializing after wine tasting, playing games and laughing with family and friends. The 50’ Community Pool and Rec was just a 5 minute walk away and we meet so many lovely people from the neighborhood. We are so glad that we booked a place away from the hustle & bustle of the Sonoma Plaza because it is so peaceful up here and the Plaza was only a 12 minute/5.2 miles drive down the hill. We highly recommend this property for you Sonoma Vacation Stay
