San Juan National Forest (located 40 miles north) offers panoramic wilderness views every visitor will truly enjoy and never forget. The Animas River Trail is a seven-mile trail that runs along the Animas River and offers incredible views of the river flowing and the Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
