About this apartment rental
This one-bedroom luxury apartment was built in 2004 and is above a garage which is adjacent to a 1911 historic building on Main Street in the central downtown of Durango, Colorado. The apartment was completely remodeled in the Summer of 2017. The apartment is beautifully furnished and has a 32 inch Sony flat screen with all channels of satellite on DirecTV streaming with apple tv. The linens are exquisite, as are all the other amenities. Although, there are stairs up to the apartment, it is a romantic and secluded space which travelers will return to year after year. I am sorry but we don't rent with small children, and rarely (if approved first) to adult children, because of their impact on the space and the significant deep cleaning which results from their impact.
Durango is one of the greatest towns in America, and it has numerous recreational activity and wonderful people. The restaurants and downtown activity are just outside your door. The apartment is located in the downtown district. There is a parking space off of Main Street for your exclusive use only one-half block from your VRBO and directly across from Carvers Brewing and restaurant in a well lit parking lot. Everyone that has stayed here, has stated they would return. It is a jewel and is one of the nicest places downtown, especially considering all the amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is in a great location and the parking spot was a huge plus, especially during the 4th of July weekend. There was a great farmers market on Saturday just a few blocks away and easy access to restaurants, grocery store and shopping. If you are staying over the weekend and are a light sleeper, I’d recommend brining ear plugs. The bar one block away blasted music till 2am on Friday & Saturday night, which could be heard in the apartment. However, that would not deter us from staying there again - we hope to return in the future!

Durango PlayFest rented the condo for one of the directors who was in town for the playwriting festival. She was extremely pleased with the lodging. This is what she wrote us: "The apartment was so clean and well appointed. I felt like I had everything I needed. The bed was comfy. The robes were a lovely surprise. The linens were great. The washer / dryer combo was perfect. The shower pressure and heat were excellent. The space is cozy and elegant. I loved the view and fresh air from the balcony. And I felt very safe with the code and three doors to lock."

Too many doors into property. Entrance in an alleyway.
Parking space too far away.
Hardiest bed ever to sleep on.
