The apartment was very clean, good central location and the staff are very helpful.

Having the full floor to ourselves. Very spacious, having a shower in the en suite was great, suited our family dynamic. Ie Mother, daughter with son in law, 2 children. Location was brilliant, car park opposite. The little extras that were provided.

The small 2 seater settee and only having 4 chairs around the table. There was room for a larger seating area and another couple of chairs around the table. We eat in and play games at night, having a 5 and 9 year old with us. We managed and would still go back thus the 9 score we gave. However the above additions would have made it perfect

Collecting keys was easy although there was a knack with the entry touch button key pad on the main street door. If traffic was passing you couldn't hear the tone on depressing the button so not sure if it had registered or not as the whole pad lit blue when depressed. So would be particularly difficult for those hard of hearing or deaf. Once we knew what to do was easy and my 9 year old got us in most times. I had a few issues, no hot water running in any bathroom sinks including the kitchen sink to wash dishes, kitchen sink had a leak also. The management team were very responsive through the messaging service and sent repair gentleman round quickly. Unfortunately he had to come back as another fault happened with the new boiler installed blowing the socket. Still no water in bathroom sinks but hot water from both showers. I had to leave the repair gentleman in the apartment as we had to leave. When we departed there was still a leak under the sink I left the door open for the cleaner to see and tell the management team. It’s a shame as it is a great location, just let down by the cleanliness of the whole apartment. I always read booking.com reviews and specifically chose this apartment for the price, location and reviews.

The apartment was not very clean at all. Main areas were presentable but on closer inspection there were old cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, marks and dents on the walls throughout. Holes where pictures used to hang I presume. The big windows were lovely as let sunlight in but these had not been cleaned inside or out in years it appeared. The view out the bedroom windows was to a courtyard filled with old furniture and sofas. Like a dumping ground. Not great for the kids so see daily on opening their blinds. Most of the windows were hard to open. Internal frames were very grubby. There was a suitcase wheel in the corridor meaning the cleaner couldn’t have hoovered that area by the stairs. Under the tall cupboard in the first room I found an old sock, some rubbish and it was thick with dust. Glad I seen this on departure (whilst ensuring the kids didn't leave anything behind) and not arrival. The front door is very tricky to lock with the key. My 17 year old could not do it so on one occasion left it open. The door does not marry up with where the bolt should go on turning the key. This is really frustrating when kids are off and in a rush to go somewhere, spending a few minutes fiddling with a door opening slightly and closing to try to lock it was increasingly frustrating. I got the knack on day 3 but it shouldn't be that difficult, you shouldn't have to wiggly the door forward and back to get the key to turn. There was a really bad smell of sewage drains as soon as we opened the apartment door and on one occasion my son couldn't sleep as could smell it seeping in. The kids were covering there noses and running up and down stairs to exit and enter as quickly as possible. Maintenance gentleman said he thinks it coming from the shops below as they were ripping out. Could just do with a good spring clean.
