About this house rental

A surfers dream ~ a beach lovers delight. Charm and comfort, ample space, perfect family getaway and weekend wind down. Immerse yourself in holiday feels with world class views, the sound of waves breaking and effortless beach access.
Get set to Relax - our Cleaning fee includes quality hired linen and towels, beds made up for all guests. We'll manage the departure clean** and dirty linen too so you can Holiday until the last moment!

This waterfront beach house overlooks the popular Sandy Bay, renowned as one of the best surf beaches in Northland. This family beach house consists of upstairs/downstairs, a large flat section, and endless sea views.

Sit back, relax and listen to the surf directly in front of the property. The second story deck provides stunning views of Sandy Bay and the famous Poor Knights Islands, making it a great spot for sunbathing and watching the surfers.

Upstairs you will find comfortable living space, two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and lounge with decks front and back to ensure you capture all day sun. Downstairs consists of basic bach style accommodation, with queen bed in front room, bunk bed and single bed in the back room, bathroom, kitchenette and laundry facilities.

There is a camera at the front of the property outside the kitchen window which is a surf cam (This is not a surveillance camera). At no time does the camera ever point at the residence. For more information please visit surf2surf.

Holiday Stays will contact you by email. We are also available by phone and are available locally for any questions or issues you may have during your stay.

The minimum stay of 2 nights varies from time to time including statutory holidays and peak/high peak periods.

FREE BROADBAND AVAILABLE

The bed linen configurations are supplied up at our discretion based on the number of people booked.  Double, Queen, King beds will be automatically assigned to 2 adults unless otherwise advised by you at the time of booking.
If you require any additional linen changes during your stay then this will incur extra costs as per our terms and conditions.

We are on rain water collection, so please conserve water when you can.

Departure cleans are arranged for all bookings, but this does not include rubbish removal.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

1. If you damage the leadlight window, you will be liable for the repair costs. This window is very special to the owners.

2. Please do not place hot items on the kitchen bench, as this will mark the bench.

3. These special terms will be read in conjunction with the Holiday Stays Rental Terms and Conditions of Use that you accepted when booking.

4. If you object to anything in these terms, you must contact us within 48 hours of receiving this document. If you do not do so, you will be deemed to have accepted the particular terms, and they will form part of your holiday home rental agreement with us.

The water pump switch is under the stairs at the back of the home. This will be switched on before your arrival.Please note that Spark has excellent cell phone coverage at home but patchy coverage for One NZ.

There is a landline with a toll bar IMPORTANT: Please ensure the power is left on at the switchboard upon departure.

Amazing location right on the beach, good setup for 2 families as 2 kitchen and dining areas. An older bach but has everything you need, beds and linen were perfect! Lots of mosquitos so take some plugins especially for bunk room!

The location could not be better, the beach across the road, bush walks close by, shops nearby, facilities at the property were amazing - kitchen utensils and equipment were fantastic! So much space and so peaceful!

We had an amazing Easter break at Sandy Bay, the house is ideal for a group with 2 entirely separate areas, and all amenities included. We surfed and swam every day. The location is 10/10 being directly opposite the beach - you can hear the waves crashing at night and the view is magnificent. It is quiet, private and roomy. We would love to return soon. Nat is a very responsive and organised host - thanks Nat.

Wonderful beachfront property! Loved everything. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom and a bunkhouse downstairs. Excellent kitchen equipment and loved the wooden gate for the top of the stairs. The heaters in the downstairs rooms were nice too for chilly nights.

My husband and I booked this property for our babymoon so it was just the two of us. We loved the size of the property and can see how it would be great for a larger group or family. We particularly loved the quiet location. We could travel not too far for lovely walks and did a day trip to Paihia but coming home was always a breath of fresh air. Our property manager was helpful and diligent.

We loved the property. Overlooking Sandy Beach was a beautiful way to start and end the day. Matapouri Bay is close by as is Tutukaka for a great meal at local restaurants. Couldn't recommend this more.
