Beautiful views from luxury apartment

Wonderful location, and it would be good to return at a time of year with better weather. Very spacious apartment; lovely views from most rooms and great balconies. Bike availability really appreciated. Very well equipped kitchen, with some basic provisions provided and frozen meals you could purchase if required; plus a little welcome present, thank you. In all, a really thoughtfully designed apartment: because of its age, luxury might seem too strong an adjective but it definitely gave you a luxury feel.

Sky TV a little disappointing in that no basic UK programmes available: lots of sports channels if you like them. Main bed mattress dipped down slightly at sides: I changed sides one night but no better. Ants in one corner of kitchen but not where we were preparing food so no impact on us, and in warm climates those sorts of insects are hard to control.

Lovely location and great amenities

Location and view were lovely, very clean and everything you could ever need. Leeann is friendly and provides some lovely things to make your stay comfortable. The use of equipment (bikes, kayaks) was great. Topsail restaurant worth booking and less than 5 min walk.

Main and third bedroom were very warm at night and no ceiling fan or aircon. Pedestal fans available for use. King bed wasn’t the comfiest (sinks at each side, ridge in centre - not uncommon) but our adult kids found queen and single comfy.

Impressive, relaxing and what a view

Full of all sorts of things as it is treated as a home, although tidier and a much better view than mine. To answer some of the questions I had going in... Airport noise is minimal, during the three days I was there I faintly heard two planes. It is only the top and bottom which can be separated off so for a solo traveler you can get the three bedroom top layer to yourself so it is very much worth the money. I would love to stay again when I'm in Whangarei next.

The roof creaks regularly, bath was a little small (I'm tall which doesn't help), access roads are narrow - I wouldn't know what to do if I had come across a car going the other way on one of them, recomend coming in from the top of Cliff street (take a look at Google street view)

Warm welcome, extreme comfort and an ever-changing vista

Leeann was amazing with communication and was waiting with a smile and welcome when we arrived. She handed us the garage door opening, gave us a brief house tour and thhen left us to settle in. Was very simple and very welcoming.

This home is just perfect in every way there is absolutely nothing you won’t like about it. We were accommodated at very late notice and everything was so clean and ready to go and it didn’t feel like lots of people had used it before you.

Ameisen / Ants in Küche und Bad trüben den Meerblick

Die sehr schöne Meersicht wurde durch Ameisen/ Ants in der Küche und dem Badezimmer getrübt. Auf unser SMS an Leeann zu den Ameisen bekamen wir keine Antwort. Man wird durch ein Plakat aufgefordert die Schuhe auszuziehen. Und auch sonst ist überall alles angeschrieben. Wir sind ein Ehepaar seit 5 Wochen in Neuseeland unterwegs. Sowas haben wir noch nie erlebt. Das Haus ist älter und durch das Holz sehr geräuschvoll. Teppiche haben Flecken und es ist abgewohnt.

Wir würden diese Unterkunft nicht mehr buchen für 3 Nächte. Ameisen / Ants in Küche und Badezimmer für uns ein No Go. Leeann war nur am ersten Tag eine Std. Erreichbar danach kam 3 Tage keine Antwort auf unseren Hinweis zum Termiten Befall.
