Black Isle View

The hosts were really friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and the bed was really comfortable. There are no carpets which I was very pleased about because I have allergies, but I was fine despite them having dogs. The location was really quiet which was great because I like to sleep with the window open. Overall it was an extremely pleasant stay and I would book again although I would be looking at one of the rooms that are en suite.

The single room description on booking.com says that the room has a private bathroom which is misleading, it is not en suite, the bathroom is in fact separate and located in the corridor where there is also access to the other rooms. The other two rooms are described as having private bathrooms as well but I'm pretty sure those are en suite. I was a bit disappointed by this, it wasn't a big deal in the end as the bathroom was in my private use but it was slightly inconvenient in the middle of the night and either way I just think this should be made clear in the advert so guests know what to expect.

Margaret and Seamus were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, the room we stayed in was very comfortable and the view was lovely, they had gone to a lot of effort to provide everything in the accomodation from filling the kettle, providing a charging plug, slipper socks with grips being just a few of the examples, would definitely recommend staying here.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Breakfast was delicious. Porridge and pancakes were freshly made and served hot.

Off road parking, bed was comfortable, a small fridge for guest use in laundry, price and the very friendly, helpful hosts.

Suburban street location is a little out of town, need car for meal options. Disappointed with breakfast, was so looking forward to the pancakes and fresh fruit. Day 1: only fresh fruit was grapes and day 2: pancakes were burnt and unappealing. No maple syrup? Pillows could do with a revamp. Be aware that 2 dogs are inside also.
