Oporto Serviced Apartments - Miragaia

excellent spacious apartment, with a lovely view over the river and a shared roof terrace. Everything was Clean and comfortable, kitchen was adequate with everything you'd need to cook a meal, and a large dining table meant we could entertain our family who were also staying in other apartments at Miragaia. Excellent location over looking the river and close to the historic Biaxa

Communication regarding access could be improved. my family were arriving late and no one had communicated how to collect keys/gain access when arriving at 10pm.

The apartment is perfect for Ribiera, just a short walk. Really well equipped and very spacious Modern aspect with aircon, beautiful place to stay.

Spacious, clean, bright, quiet apartment, despite being just off a busy road. Plenty of storage in the bedroom to unpack.Convenient elevator to upstairs. Terrace to enjoy the sunshine. Nespresso machine with a couple of coffee pods and tea. After that, you must pay.

They claim to be an "aparthotel" which I'd have to disagree. I've stayed in proper aparthotels. This is essentially self-catering apartments in a building, which is fine, but don't expect the extra sevices, staff assistance readily on-site and amenites of a true "aparthotel". Some teething problems which, if sorted out, will improve guests stay. Besides a desk in the hallway entry, there is no proper reception area with reception staff easily available on-site, no common areas, breakfast or luggage room, etc...I did self-chekin on arrival. All communication was done through WhatsApp or Booking.com Barely any toiletries. There was no handsoap in the bathroom the evening I arrived, so I had to message them to request it to be brought in the morning. Wifi was only working in the living room, so I messaged "reception ", cleaner came to fix it. One evening, when I returned, the cleaners forgot to replenish the toilet paper, and there was no one at reception to get any. I messaged and they offered to "uber' me some but it was already late and I didn't want to be disturbed again. Fortunately, I had tissues! Cleaner brought some the next morning. Luckily, when I checked out online, I was able to store my suitcase in a large cabinet that only fit one bag, which I had to organise through WhatsApp and the cleaner handled for me. Ordering breakfast was a bit confusing and done online with a local cafe who then delivers it to your door (there was no one at reception desk to arrange this).

Everything was excellent except the supposedly high-speed WIFI that did not work at all. That was a big problem for me (teleconferences)
