Location and quite neighbourhood

The air conditioning was very noisy, we couldn't open the window and the noise was sounding the whole night

There was some construction nearby so taxis couldn’t easily get to the front door, but that will change and the construction didn’t impact sleep. I suggest sending a message as soon as you land at the airport if using their shuttle service to confirm they are on their way. They arrived quite late. But hotel staff apologized and upgraded our room which was very nice.

The hotel is in a great location; less than 10 minutes walk to Sultanahmet Square (though mainly uphill). Room was a decent size and cleaned every day. Breakfast was a delicious spread of different local foods (sweet & savoury). Staff were helpful. Had an elevator to go up/down which was helpful with luggage.

I had a wonderful stay at Obahan Hotel and would absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Istanbul. One of the things that impressed me the most was the staff. This was my first visit to Istanbul, and I was honestly a little intimidated when I first arrived. I was traveling with my parents, and because they were depending on me to help navigate the city and plan what we would see each day, I felt a lot of responsibility to make sure everything went smoothly. The hotel staff immediately put me at ease. They patiently answered all of my questions, recommended places to visit, explained the local area, and even offered to help arrange transportation and activities. Their kindness, local knowledge, and genuine desire to help gave me the confidence to explore Istanbul and made what could have been a stressful trip into a truly enjoyable one. I can’t thank them enough for making us feel so welcome. The breakfast was outstanding—easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. It was nothing like the typical continental breakfasts I’ve experienced before. Every morning there was an incredible variety of fresh, delicious food, beautifully prepared and constantly replenished. There were so many choices that I looked forward to breakfast every day. It was clear that the hotel takes great pride in the quality and presentation of the breakfast, and it was one of the highlights of our stay. The location is excellent. I was able to walk to many of Istanbul’s most famous attractions, including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern. The hotel is also just a short walk from the Bosphorus waterfront, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful scenery, restaurants, and historic atmosphere. We rarely needed a taxi because so much was within walking distance. I also arranged the hotel’s airport transportation service for both our arrival and departure. Everything went exactly as promised.
