Abelia Mansion Hotel

The position of the hotel is perfect, 10 minutes close to all the main attractions such as Ayasofya Mosque, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Basilica Cistern. The room was very clean and the breakfast is nice (you cannot chose between options, they serve Turkish breakfast with cheese, olives, eggs, bread, cake/cookies and you can choose what to drink). The hotel has a private parking right in front of its entrance, so no need to walk around with suitcases.

There is no elevator (it might be a problem for someone) and our room at the 3rd floor was small for two people. The bathroom and the bedroom were almost the same size! Once arrived we picked our outfits for the whole stay since we had no space to keep the suitcase opened. However, I think the size of the room depends from the fact that the building is ancient. The guys at the reception are very nice, but I will suggest to improve the English (actually is an issue in most hotels we stayed at).

Some items didn’t impress ( toilet seat, inop) noisy floors above. Location little far off from everything

Its location is superb. Walking distance to blue mosque and metro, though a small uphill. The owner and staff were very helpful and nice! Breakfast is excellent!

Well, the room is very tight. We have to open the luggage in the toilet.

The location was quite good, also quiet at night. There is 24h reception available. Each morning we got a freshly fried egg.

The room was small and it lacked soundproofing. The breakfast was served (no self-service) and wasn't that rich- it lacked variety (maybe for us coming from EU), although they were trying and the stuff was nice. I especially missed fruit (I learned that fruit is very expensive in Turkey) and some days they were out of butter.
