Villa Olympia

The biggest plus of this accommodation is definitely location which is very close to the main square, main street, amphitheatre and also beach. We had only one afternoon and one morning here and we could see all interesting sights that this city offers. Also, our host was very kind and helpfull. We could pick from several appartments on different floors, which was nice.

We had problems with flushing the toilet. We managed it, after all, but the contents kept returning back as if the pipese were going uphill or what. Also, this is not an issue of the accommodation but good to know: the street that this accommodation is located on can get really busy sometimes and it can be very difficult to find a parking spot. We were lucky enough to find one. The host is happy to help with parking, if needed. Also, driving through streets of Durres was one of the worst that we experienced in all Albania, with exception of Tirana (of course) so be aware of it and if possible, arrive outside of rush hour (14-17).

A very good location and very good conditions

Compared to one I had been, I found this Villa really good. Joel was courteous and professional. I had mixed up the building with another, and he walked up to me and helped me out. Got the room with the sea view, and enjoyed the sound of the sea at night. Messages were responded to on time. Great location. WiFi was great. The room even had two flip flops, which I thought was brilliant.

A welcomed noise: piano lessons from some other building maybe, but it was beautiful. Added beauty to the evening. Felt like I was in a novel. Unwelcome noise: might not be a bother to other people as we are all different, but I’m a light sleeper and there was some noise from other occupants at night. I did sleep well eventually.

It was very close to the amphitheater. The sea view was ok and the accommodation overall very nice (better than many hotels I would argue). When I arrived their car was moved so that I had a place to park, which I appreciate a lot.

Unfortunately there was noone in the gym and I don't have an albanian number to call. But they still responded quickly on booking.
