Vila Kaci

Private family-owned hotel – the host is often praised for his fish dishes. As I don‘t like fish . . . But: You can also have other dishes: They‘re very nice too. Nice breakfast, nice room. The hotel is high above the city, so it is also quiet. Nice crew who runs the place. Thank you!

Excellent platter of the day ( fish caught by their family on the day)

Difficult to get there by car due to one way systems not accurate on navigation apps. No lifts and the number of steps

We needed to somewhere stay near Tirana airport for one night (flight early the next morning) and Vila Kaci in Durrës was ideal. The owner, Eddie, and his father immediately made us feel welcome and at home. They even prepared an early breaklast for us the following day. The location of Vila Kaci is ideal to explore the city of Durrës on foot, including the beach, the promenade, the Venetian Tower and the Roman amphitheatre. There are dozens of good restaurants and cafes about half a mile down the hill from Vila Kaci. The hilltop location is stunning, with views from the rooftop bar/restaurant over Durrës Bay - see photo. The double room was very reasonably priced @50 euros.

The room was a little cramped and small, but it was fine for just one night.

It was beautiful!! Friendly staff! Room was exceptionally clean and breakfast was good!
