I was there for 5 nights. Nice place ( a wee bit compact.) The position of the lodge makes so easy to get into the city and harbour tourist area,The tram Line L 2 is a few minutes walk down the bottom of the street they run every 10/15 mins. . Randwick race course is next to the tram stop.The main High Street is a few minutes walk away.There are alI kinds of food outlets and two shopping centres. There are buses on the High St that go to the beach.

Great location in Randwick. Close to buses and light rail.
I stayed in a room next to the courtyard. It was very quiet and felt private. I personally did not use the kitchen or laundry as I was only there for 2 nights.
My room had a kettle, fridge, microwave and some utensils and plates. So it was possible to have breakfast in the room.
My room very comfortable with a good shower. I'd stay again.

We were unaware of the new management and changed conditions for entering the lodge. The facilities provided in the split level rooms out back are still great, such as the skylight, small but complete kitchen and very comfy bed. The location is convenient for Randwick Racecourse.
We were unaware of the new management and changed conditions for entering the lodge. It is obvious that the previously pristine attention to detail has declined and general standards of care have slipped. The televisions and split system not working properly although a small heater was provided instead. On street parking has got busier and harder to find.
