Reception staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Breakfast in the canteen-like dining room was fantastic. Location just 5 mins’ walk from the start of the touristy old town shops en route to the bridge. Our standard twin room was very large. We didn’t realise until we arrived that the hotel is actually linked to the Franciscan church and guests can stay for a longer term too - a nice, interesting change from being with other tourists!
The hotel is at a very busy road junction so there’s constant traffic noise but the windows (and we had 4 of them with fantastic views!) seal the noise out very efficiently. We found it odd that there were no bedside tables but that didn’t really matter as we used chairs instead! It’s about 25 mins’ walk to the bus station but we chose it for its proximity to the old town.

The location was superb, and the staff was great.
Cleanliness could be a little better, especially in the shower. Also, our room was on the same floor as a classroom that was used around 7:30 in the morning for activities with children, which caused a lot of noise and running in the hallway. If you are an early riser, you won’t have any issues, but if not, you will likely be woken up.”

Shower in room 419 does not drain so it just floods the bathroom floor with water so we weren't able to use the shower which was annoying.
