La Triade affittacamere

Marilena è stata super-gentile, dandomi consigli su cosa vedere e su quali spiagge puntare. Ho apprezzato l'aria condizionata e il mini-bar in camera.

La colazione, purtroppo solo prodotti confezionati del supermercato, ma in abbondanza. La mia camera affacciava sull'interno del condominio con parcheggio, ma di notte silenzioso.

Chambre très propre, avec climatisation et frigo. Petit déjeuné inclus. L’hôte Marilena est très aimable !

Un petit peu loin à pied de Ortigia. Rien d’autre à part ça !

The host was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was waiting for us every day. We had no problems with hot water. The apartment is located close to the archeological park and about 15min from the Ortiga.

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of sound isolation with the shared hall (there are 2 more rooms but othet guests were quiet)

Checking in was standard procedure and done in a matter of minutes. The room was comfortable and so was the bed. Everything looked clean and proper. There is also a small balcony. Breakfast, albeit basic, was quite alright. There was even some fruit, which is rare to find in my experience in the hotels I've stayed so far in Sicily. It's close to the archaeological park Neapolis, but it's a bit of a walk to Ortigia.

I had agreed with the owner that I would be there at a specific time to pick up my luggage and she said yes. When the time came, she didn't show up. In fact, she was one hour late. Due to this, I lost my train connection to Catania, which was extremely annoying. She did her best to solve the situation, drove me to the station, but the train had already left. She made sure my ticket was valid for the next available train and offered to pay for my bus fare if necessary. I can definitely say that she was sorry and apologized for it and tried to make the best out of a bad situation. But let's be honest here, it was unprofessional. You do not keep your guests waiting for one hour to pick up their luggage, especially if they have to catch the train. In the end, I managed to catch another train, but it was the feeling of wasting my time that really irritated me. If it hadn't been for this, I would have given a higher score.
