My wife and I stayed at Corte Guelfa for one night to explore Florence, and it was the absolute perfect choice for our short trip.
The location is exceptionally convenient. Being so close to the city center meant we could easily walk to all the major sights, museums, and restaurants without wasting any time on transportation. It allowed us to maximize our limited time in the city perfectly.
What truly sets Corte Guelfa apart, however, is the staff. They were incredibly nice, professional, and reliable. Since we only had one night, we arrived well before check-in and left late after check-out to make the most of our days. The team didn't hesitate to securely store our bags both times, giving us total peace of mind while we explored. Every single request we had was met with a warm smile and immediate help.
If you are looking for a stress-free, centrally located, and welcoming place to stay in Florence—even for a quick trip—we highly recommend Corte Guelfa. We would absolutely stay here again!

Everything was perfect during our stay at Corte Guelfa! We visited when the temperature was almost 42°C, so the heat was no joke—it was absolutely terrible. Luckily, the hotel had strong air conditioning and a super comfortable bedroom, which made it easy for us to stay in and rest during the hottest part of the day. We simply couldn’t stay outside for too long and often had to head back to the hotel to cool down and relax in our room.
The staff were very professional and welcoming, and the breakfast was wonderful, location was perfect.
The only thing to note is that the reception is not open 24 hours. The reception team works from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. However, this wasn’t an issue for us at all. We had an early morning checkout and the self-checkout process was super smooth and convenient.
Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend Corte Guelfa!

Room is clean but a little overpriced. No amenities. Constructions were right outside and hard to find.
