Hotel 1887

It was very homely, quiet and private and a good location. We had the deluxe Studio room 201 with a large balcony and to our surprise it had a small fridge with new slippers bathrobes, towels and bottles of water everyday. The room was big with plenty of power sockets, a tv with Netflix and YouTube but we never used it. The internet speed was very good. It had a desk and chair and a table with 2 chairs but no wardrobe as such just a large open stand. The shower was good.

It is more of a guest house than a hotel with only 6 rooms so very intimate and quiet. There was nobody to greet us on arrival the key was just left on the unattended desk with a note. I wish they had some tourist info available and say a welcome brochure of the Hotel with relevant info of the facilities ect such as breakfast time, when the door is closed at night ect. We had a problem when we arrived as the door to the room and the balcony door would not lock and the toilet was running all the time and leaking and would not flush. I spoke to the son and they fixed everything the next morning as we had arrived at about 1930 that evening.

Interesting building in a great location. The neighbourhood was a real surprise and I would have missed this if I stayed right in the city centre.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The environment was delightfully peaceful and serene—perfect for relaxing. Everything was beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean throughout our stay. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it!
