DRINOU HOUSE

The location is fantastic, just next to the old center, also, the apartment has spaces opening towards the street as well as the back of the block, giving a nice variety of views.

During our stay, we had a hard time using the kitchen, as some of the tools, pots and pans, were quite worn out - even frying an egg was not an easy affair...

Spacious, cozy apartment, a lot of light and modern furnishing. The house is a little bit shabby though. I particularly liked the location. It is in a proximity of the historic center, two bakeries and Carrefour Express are right around the corner, car parking is super easy. I also loved the view from my room to the gardens and parks. Beds were comfortable and all was very clean. Kitchen is very well equipped. One feels like home very quickly there! On the table in the living room, there are maps and a lot of information on the city and the surroundings.

I did not receive the check-in instructions in time, so I was really very stressed. I tried to contact the hostess but there was no response. Only after some time I found that the instructions were provided on booking.com pages but posted the very same day in the late morning. Not everyone is online 24/7 when on holiday! The instructions were in French, which was not a problem for me but it might not be as easy for other guests. We couldn't find out how to switch the TV on. So we didn't :-) The apartment is in the third floor, no lift.

The location, the appartment decor is just great. And the view from bedroom is just stuning. Very comfy and you immediatelly feel like home.

When we arrived we were not presended with checkin instructions on time. We couldn't reach out to host for about 2 hours. That was stresful. It turns out that host was abroad and once she was online she provided all instructions which were clear. But once we got in all our frustration went away. The view from bedroom, the table in lounge, all was just great. If not check in troubles I would give 10 to the apartment.

If the proprietor wants to be on English Booking.com, then she must communicate in english. I didn't understand a word on her email - Also I said no emails, but to contact we with either text or phone call. Plus the flat is located right on a fairly noisy roundabout. There are lots of candles in the flat, which presumably one is allowed to light. the whole pace could go up in flames. Plus someones else's old ice-cream left in the freezer. Plus there's an eye level (for me atleast) glass shelf right next to the washbasin which is really dangerous. I wouldn't book there again.
