The home of Dr. Vaughan, who treated and birthed the area’s folks for many years, is a connection to Bertram’s vibrant history. The Vaughan House Guest Room is a cozy, private, master suite-like space, with a private bath (with walk-in shower), comfortable king-sized bed, TV, fridge, microwave oven, coffee-maker, WiFi, and parking in front.
The Gateway to the Texas Hill Country is located close to state parks, antiquing, good food, good music, wineries, shopping, hiking, water-based activities, cycling, Bluebonnets (in-season), and so much more. And, the Austin metro-plex is a short drive, if the peace, quiet, and relaxation are overwhelming you! :)

Great place in Bertram!! Greg, the host, greeted us at our car and showed us the easy peasy lock box! The rental is excellent everything you need in a small, well decorated space. I loved it!! Two quite comfortable chairs separate the “living room” from the California King bed. Nice! Better is the wall hung tv can be viewed easily from chairs or bed. Bathroom is a great size and very clean! I couldn’t and can’t come up with any reason to give this any thing but 5 Stars. Thanks to Greg for being a great host!!
