Mavi Beachfront Villa is a recently renovated property, designed to provide a car free holiday, as its located within walking distance from restaurants and shops and just a stones throw away from a sandy beach. The 3 bedroom Villa covers 110 m2 and can comfortably accommodate 6 people in beds and up to 7 guests if necessary. Mavi Villa is decorated with great care, elegant taste and a summer vibe, getting you in a holiday mood as soon as you enter it.
Layout
Entering the Villa, you will find yourselves in an open plan area, featuring the living room, dining area and kitchen. White tones and wooden furniture create a relaxing ambience, while large windows and doors allow the air and sunlight in all day long. The living area is consisted of two comfortable sofas, 55 HDTV with Netflix, coffee table and an open fireplace. Additionally, a monastery-type wooden table for 6 guests and a breakfast counter for 4 provide ample space for indoor dining. The fully equipped kitchen with branded appliances allows you to prepare your homemade meals and enjoy them with your loved ones. Both the living room and kitchen provide access to a veranda, equipped with patio furniture. Furthermore, two of the bedrooms of Mavi Villa offer 2 single beds each (0.90 cm X 2.00 m), which can also be joined together to form a King Sized bed. The master bedroom features a King Sized bed (1.80 m X 2.00 m) and an en-suite bathroom with shower cabin. Finally, another family bathroom equipped with a shower cabin is also available.
Outdoor area
The beautifully landscaped outdoor area of Mavi Beachfront Villa covers 450 m2 and offers a variety of facilities which include:?
- 32 m2 private swimming pool. Minimum depth: 1.10 m. Maximum depth: 1.40 m. The pool can be heated with an additional daily charge for entire stay, upon request (Please note that the pool heating can be used upon advance request for the entire stay and it requires at least one week advance notice).
- An outdoor shower, sun beds, umbrellas, a shaded gazebo and outdoor living room for relaxing in the pool terrace are also available.
- Fully equipped charcoal barbecue facilities with an outdoor sink under the shade of a pergola.
- Outdoor dining table for 6 guests.
- Outdoor playground with swings and slide for our young guests.
- Portable, foldable sun beds and umbrellas which you can take with you at the beach.
- Parking space within the Villa premises.
- Fully fenced outdoor area, offering total privacy to our guests, with a gate.
- The villa is just a few meters away from the long sandy beach of Rethymno and its partly organised. There is a private path to access the beach from the villa.

Excellent communication from host. Villa was beautiful with everything you could need or want including a substantial welcome pack. The location was excellent, we hired a car and barely used it as the surrounding area was great with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Crete. On recommendation to owner would be better storage in the bedrooms as we struggled a little (4adults and 1toddler).

Very nice well equipped villa. The outdoor space was perfect with. A lovely cabana and sunbeds and a great seating area near the BBQ. Pool was a perfect size for us and a welcome related ef from the sun!
Short walk into the centre where there were plenty of nice restaurants.
Short taxi ride into the main town if you want something a bit more lively, so perfect balance.

This is a terrific three-bedroom villa ideal for a family holiday. It is modern, practical, and very well equipped.
There are nice touches such as a welcome pack, and charcoal and lighters provided for the barbecue. The pool area is very well-furnished with sunbeds and lounging furniture, and very clean pool with modern filtration.
There is a private path to the sandy beach which is just 80m or so away with a lifeguard on duty. The villa is situated about 100m from the small town of Platanes just off the main east-west highway, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and a couple of good supermarkets. A car is unnecessary unless you want to explore further afield, and the lovely harbour-town of Rethimno is a 15 minute taxi-ride or 25minute bus-ride away.
The only category for which I have not given this five-stars is the surrounding area. Platanes is a holiday town consisting mostly of rental apartments and cheaper hotels, and the Villa is in many ways a far higher standard than other nearby accommodation. While there are several good local restaurants, in my opinion the majority are poorer quality. That said, the cooking facilities at the villa are good or food can be ordered in.
The Villa has good security with an electric gate closing off the access road, a lockable pedestrian gate, and a key-safe. All doors and windows can be safely secured.
The Villa is managed by Etouri, who were excellent in communicating with us, welcoming us to the Villa, providing shopping by arrangement, and making restaurant and other reservations for us. Visitors can communicate with them by direct line from the house phone.
In summary, this is a delightful, high-quality, and excellently-managed Villa with a superb pool and easy access to the 5km sandy beach.
