Amara Villas are approved by the Greek Tourism Organization & managed by "etouri vacation rental management".
Amara Villas is a complex, consisting of 3 independent Villas, each one with its own private pool.
Amara Villa II is perfectly situated for a car-free holiday, with a sandy beach just 100 meters away, complete with private sunbeds exclusively for our guests. All essential amenities are within easy walking distance, making daily needs effortless, while the beautiful area of Rethymno and its picturesque Old Town are just 3 km away.
Indoor LayoutGround Floor
- Open-plan living space with two comfortable sofas, a 49 HDTV, pool views, and direct veranda access.
- Fully equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances, a wine cooler, and an indoor dining area.
- Bedroom 1: King-size bed (1.80 x 2.00 m), ensuite bathroom with stand-up shower.
First Floor
- Bedroom 2: Queen-size bed (1.60 x 2.00 m), ensuite bathroom with shower cabin, balcony with patio furniture, and a large veranda featuring an outdoor jacuzzi, table tennis, and panoramic sea views.
Lower Floor
- Bedroom 3: Queen-size bed (1.60 x 2.00 m), ensuite bathroom with stand-up shower.
- Bedroom 4: Two single beds (0.90 x 2.00 m), convertible into a King-size bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) upon request.
- Playroom: 49" HDTV with Netflix, PlayStation 4, Bluetooth speaker, board games, and a comfortable sofa. Direct pool terrace access via staircase.
- Wellness Area: Sauna, static bike, treadmill, and two yoga mats.
- Additional Bathroom: Features a shower cabin.
- Laundry Room: Equipped with a washing machine and dryer.
All bedrooms have self-controlled A/C and a 32" HDTV.
Outdoor Area
- Private Swimming Pool: 50 sq. m. (1.50 m deep) with a childrens section (0.50 m deep) with 4 sunbeds, 1 shaded double daybed, and umbrellas.
- Shaded veranda with a dining area (direct access from the living room).
- First-floor shaded veranda with a 5-seater hot tub, table tennis, and outdoor lounge.
- Childrens Playground: A safe and fun space for young guests.
- Bicycles: 2 available upon request.
- BBQ Facilities: Charcoal barbecue for outdoor cooking.
- Parking: Space for 1 car outside the villa.
** Accommodation cost excludes Climate Resilience Tax. The amount for the accommodation type is set at EUR15 per night from April to October and EUR4 per night from November to March, payable upon check-in.

This is a wonderful villa, beautifully maintained and supported by excellent staff who were on hand to give advice and recommendations whenever needed. There is plenty to entertain here, so even in a large group there is space and opportunity for everyone to do what they want and find space if they need. As it was beautifully hot we were in the pool or at the beach much of the time, though the hot tub was popular in the late evening. I can imagine in cooler months that the hot tub and sauna would be a wonderful bonus. Wish we'd had more time there, to make use of everything (we loved the table tennis but only played a couple of times!) The location was superb, with a gentle walk of around 45 minutes into the heart of Rethymno, so we were able to wander into town for dinner or breakfast whenever we liked. If we hadn't wanted to sightsee around the island it would have been perfectly easy to avoid car hire entirely. One major bonus was discovering that a watersports company with paddle boards and jet skis was based only 3 minutes walk away, at the start of what we called the 'sunset strip' - perfect. Would happily have stayed all summer!

Words cannot describe our holiday to Crete. booked for my mums 60th, and right from the start everyone has been so helpful in making this a special holiday for my mum. firstly the villa is amazing the pictures really do not do it Justice. Its location was perfect for us. Set in quiet street but only a 5 min walk to shops and restaurants on which there is everything you need. Bus stop short walk away. Buses regular and cheap into Rethymno.
The whole team are amazing from organising Balloons, Champagne and gifts for our arrival to suggestions where to eat and visit. House keeping and maintenance do a top job keeping the villa spotless and so friendly. It truly was a magical holiday, not only the villa its location but the team for making sure everything was perfect. A holiday that will be in our memories forever.

The perfect villa for me, my two teenage children and brother. Plenty of room for us all to have our own space but great communal space when we were together. The team looking after the villa were excellent. The villa is a little way out from the main town but taxi were quick and €8. Everyone we meet during our stay was incredibly friendly and helpful. Pool wasn’t heated and was too cold for us to use in October but this may have been due to the storm a couple of days before we arrived. Great stay
