First impressions: the pictures make it look much nicer/modern than it really is. I don’t think the floors have been mopped in a long time. I accidentally spilled some water and I cleaned it up with some toilet paper - the paper was black afterwards. There was a nice clump of hair in the hallway. The doors aren’t flush with the ground, letting in a lot of noise, bugs, etc. We shoved a towel underneath the gap. Reception was lukewarm. The description lists that drinking water, coffee, tea is included, but it definitely isn’t. We had to buy our own. Wifi is slow and spotty. TV was crooked. The lock box can’t accommodate anything bigger than some smaller valuables. No laptops/electronics. Water pressure on the second floor was really low, but there was hot water (just have to wait a bit).
The location is what really saves it. You can walk anywhere in around 10 mins. The area is fantastic. Many great places to eat, little galleries, Malecon, etc.
All in all, I wouldn’t stay in this particular hotel again, but would in the area.
I don’t think I’d stay here again.
