I liked the style of the hotel and room because it felt culturally related to Mexico and not a cookie cutter hotel. I loved the courtyard and birds. The pool was nice. I appreciate the umbrellas available for use if needed. The location was great with an amazing bakery across the street and numerous restaurants, bars and retail shops right there. It was an easy walk to the beach, El Malecón and Isla Cuale.
It may have been because of the weather but the wi-fi was inconsistent. Also, it's possible because of the thickness of the hotel walls, but my phone service didn't work in my room. Neither item was a deal breaker for staying here again.

Location
Staff asked for a deposit for beach towels. I didn’t need beach towels. She spoke zero English but I speak a bit of Spanish. She kept asking for efectivo cash. Then a guy came up and said it was not required. Dios mios!

The location was outstanding! The pool was nice.
The room was very small. Good for a day or two but too small if you were spending the week.
