Loved everything

The hotel is located slighty out of town, in the hills around Nuwara Eliya, and is actually on the top of the pass. You have then to go uphill to a side road in not so good conditions. The room was clean and functional, but to be honest, we expected something more given the pictures and the fact that the hotel is a 5 stars boutique hotel. The staff was very nice, kind and helpful. I liked the tiles in the bathroom! The view on the tea plantations is also very nice

The currency conversion factor and process for hotel payments. They bill in USD and charge in LKR forcing a higher than usual USD to LKR rate resulting in escalated prices. The breakfast was not good and the menu was not well set. Even with a SET MENU, the options were very less. They forced to select a breakfast menu at the time of check-in which was very uncomfortable. With a boutique hotel variant, atleast a central boiler geyser should be installed considering that the weather is always cold but a normal geyser took a lot of time to warm water. Food taste was below average but presentation was OK. No amenities to boast of. Staff Service was OK. Near property, no options to done nearby or outside forcing to dine at the property. Overall a very high priced property and Negative value for money specially with the currency conversion fiasco. .
