Pedro Barn Hotel at Little England Cottages

Pedro Barn was one of the most unique travel experiences I have had in Sri Lanka. The cool weather and colonial architecture create an English atmosphere, which explains why the area is known as “Little England.” The breakfast was excellent. Special thanks to the staff, who were very friendly and accommodating of our requests. As they advised, the experience might be even better if you visit between February and April.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, the property was very well maintained, and the food was excellent. Some of the negative reviews may have been due to isolated or extreme experiences, as we personally had no unpleasant incidents during our two-night stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we look forward to returning. 😊

The location is extremely clean and beautiful! The cottages look pretty

Rooms are small. I had booked a twin bed room and requested for a double bed upon arrival since there were last minute changes with my friend and I was to stay at the hotel alone. The staff did not accommodate the request despite the other rooms being available since I was told that they are not at a 100% occupancy. When they got to know that I was staying alone (despite paying for two people) they took away one water bottle, one glass, one set of towels from the room - which is extremely shady. Food is pretty average and bland. Very basic breakfast. Rooms not equipped with basic things like bed room slippers, iron, bath robe, face tissues etc.
