Misty Paradise of Lake Gregory

Id have to write an entire short story to describe my experience. First off, when I made the booking, I simple wanted some place near Lake Gregory. However things changed when I got there. What greeted my eyes was something far greater than what was advertised. The view from my room's balcony was so great, that I simple cancelled my plans to go out and decided to spend the entire day at the room. I sat out on the balcony, with cups of tea, a plate of devilled chicken (many thanks to the chef for prepping at a moment's notice), and Tagore's Naoukadoubi on my iPad. Looking up from time to time to to glance at the llake, speed boats and jet skis rushing by, people enjoying strolls, vehicles taking the winding roads. Funnily enough, in the book Annada Babu was describing how good the up country atmosphere was for one's soul, and here I was, at a literal Misty Paradise treating my soul to a cleansing of a lifetime. Speaking of mist, it comes and goes, so does the chilly yet comforting wind. I didn't wear a blazer like most in Nuwara Eliya do. This chill from heaven should be felt by one's bare skin. When the sun when down, and lights on the lake went on, it was a whole different vista in front of my eyes. I wanted to stay up through the night, but the hot meal Ive had simply put me to sleep. (Thank you, chef :-)) Due to the closes proximity I walked over to and around the lake early next morning. And was surprised by a sizziling breakfast spread. To top everything, I took a walk into the property's garden right before I left. I realised i had been so preoccupied by the lake yesterday that i had totally missed out on the nearby river and tiny rapids. While spending a few more minutes simply warching the water flow, the smell of vegetables crept into my nose. That was when I knew my Nuwara Eliya visit was complete.

My weekend wasn't long enough. :-)

Absolutely Wonderful Stay 🌿✨ Misty Paradisa of Lake Gregory was honestly the best hotel I have ever stayed at! ❤️ From the moment we arrived, everything felt so warm and welcoming. The owner was incredibly friendly and treated us just like his own family, which made our stay feel extra special. 🥹 The staff were equally lovely—always friendly, welcoming, and greeting us with a smile. 😊 And the food… absolutely delicious! 🤤 Every meal was full of flavour and definitely worth the money. But the highlight has to be the panoramic view of Lake Gregory. 🌿🏞️ The scenery was simply breathtaking, and waking up to that view was unforgettable. Overall, this was such a wonderful experience, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended! ❤️ If you’re visiting Nuwara Eliya, Misty Paradisa of Lake Gregory is definitely a place worth staying at. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The beautiful lake view from the balcony and the misty breeze. The staff was also very helpful and carry our luggages up to 2nd floor.

Nothing to mention, it was really a lovely stay.
