a 700 year old castle with todays amenities

The host was exceptionally friendly, sat with us, and answered our questions. The building is impressive, with lots of facilities, all in excellent condition. The unit is spacious, and the view is breathtaking!

We were out of season and could not enjoy dinner at the hotel, which would probably be a great experience at their 700-year-old dining area.

Home feeling, total comfort

The family is so welcoming, you feel at home immediately. The views, the apartments and the wonderful pool are just heavenly. We booked a day tour with Philip and Petar to see the Blue Cave and several beaches and had such a good time! Our stay was only 4 nights but we felt like it was an oasis of time ❤️

The best touch with Montenegro we could imagine.

The most beautiful place with the most heartful family running the villa. The villa is a bit far from everything - but that’s the magic. Views are amazing, pool is great, and the family tells, provides and helps you with everything you need to know (and more!). Apartment was clean and comfortable.

Outstanding Accommodation that made our Montenegro experience amazing - thank you Filip & Jovanka

The hosts Filip and Jovanka were amazing. They met us on arrival, supplied water, beer, wine, fruit, sweets compeltely free of charge. The villa is amazing - very spacious and comfortable. Easily accommodated the 16 of us. We had a meal prepared by Jovanka and family on the Saturday night with Filip's home made wine - ample food, ample drink at a very good price. All in all a great place to stay - highly recommended

Great place to relax away from the craziness of Kotor

The view was beautiful and the apartment was very spacious. The whole place is lovely and and has a great feel. Everything is very new and worked well. The owners were very friendly.

There could have been a few more items in the kitchen (utensils and dishes for the oven).

Beautiful building and pool area built in stone. Great views and friendly hosts.

The view from the apartment which was on top floor with big terrace looking out across the valley to Tivat and mountains. The swimming pool and seating area was lovely and we spent most of the day there. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Not so easy to go to the beach as traffic and little parking unless you go early I guess. Better option is to stay by the pool.

Lovely house but far from the city and bare amenities

The apartment is spacious and super well maintained. The view was also lovely.

One bathroom for a whole apartment of 5 or more people is not enough. The self catering kitchen had no basic amenities such as dish towels, tea bags or coffee. It was essentially bare with only utensils. There was no welcome drinks, and the host was not always there, so all communication was done via booking.com and it wasn’t the best customer service from that point of view. However when the hosts did eventually arrive, they were lovely and kind… however that was on the last day when we were checking out.

Super appartements with pool and close to Kotor and beaches

Large and very clean appartment at excellent location, 15 minutes from Kotor old town and 10 minutes from sea. Very friendly family running the business. Thanks to Jovanka and all for a very warm welcome. We can recommend the breakfast and the Boat tour!

The hosts are very warm, friendly and accommodating and the food they cook is amazing! They even prepared delicious vegan and vegetarian options. The place is wonderful, spacious and well-maintained. The photos don't do it justice!

Perfect stay!

We stayed only one night in Villa Old Castle but we would have loved staying much longer! Everything was perfect : the place is wonderful, well decorated, clean and the swimming pool is a big plus. The owners were really welcoming and lovely, they cooked for us for dinner and breakfast and everything was excellent and affordable. We really loved our stay and totally recommend it!

Perfect stay with a lovely family always ready to help and make our stay perfect. The house is just like on the pictures, the apartment is clean, big with a wonderful view. Home made food is sooooo good! We felt like in family. You were so nice with our daughter. We cannot dream better. We will definitly come back !

Amazing B&B, hosts just wonderful!

Philip, Jovanka and their kids are just amazing! A bit away from the crowdy Kotor Bay but just 20 minutes to Kotor, Tivat or some beaches: the B&B is well situated in the quiet hills. Appartment nice and clean, breakfast like a queen, meat bbq delicious! They are very kind and pure hosts and do everything to make sure you have a super holiday! We just loved it!!!

A hidden gem!

The hosts Filip and Jovanka made us feel so at home. We absolutely loved our stay here. A hidden gem. The villa was built on Filip’s centuries old homestead. The villa and the views of the mountain are absolutely beautiful. First class! Can’t say enough good things about this place and these people. It is an experience my son and I will never forget. Thank you!!! Oh and make sure and try some of Filip’s homemade wine!

A leisure trip made more beautiful with sweet people and panoramic views.

The property was amazing. Clean and tidy rooms with all the facilities for convenience. The swimming pool was just the cherry on the top. The property has really good mountain and sea views. Moreover, really close to some good stops in the city of kotor and Tivat. Lastly, the hosts have been nothing short of sweet and gracious. Never found such good people in life. If I am ever in Montenegro again will definitely stay at this place.

Exceptional

The property is beautiful and the view from the room was equally beautiful. They are adding gym equipment and that will be a great improvement because some of it is outdoors. Great way to beat COVID and still get a workout in. The room was very clean and quite comfortable with simple, but aesthetically pleasing decor. The owners are very kind and accommodating. The breakfast is well worth the price and tasted delicious. I could only eat a third of the food I was served. One of the best places I’ve stayed at in the world.

Everything was absolutely fantastic. The owners of the villa are some of the most welcoming, kind-hearted people that I have ever met. They welcomed us as if we were old friends and made us feel like we were part of the family. The apartment was big, modern and comfortable and had everything that we needed. If you do stay there make sure you have breakfast and dinner at least once, the food is an experience on its own and it is truly amazing. We will definitely be back and we cannot recommend this place enough.

Exceptional hospitality

Me and my team liked every single moment of our stay in Old Castle. From the very first second Philip and Jovanka (hosts of the villa) tried to make our stay perfect. Breakfasts were rich and fresh. Dinners were done for our 15 person team like we are part of the family. Everything we ordered was done with perfection (i.e. fish, meat, ribs, fishsoup, salads). At the same time our hosts were invisible and did not disturb us at all. Rooms were ideally clean and nice. Help with music, nice and clean swimming pool, always full fridge with drinks, nice coffee in the morning. So if you need best every family type stay in Montenegro it is exactly what you need. Last but not least it is views from balconies. They are incredible and you can sit there whole day looking at mountains around!

Exceptional host, Fabulous apartment!

The host and his family genuinely care for you to have a nice stay at their apartment more than the money they make. The apartment is tastefully decorated and the kitchen utensils are better quality that you might have in your own house. There is a resturant built only for the guests of the villa and they serve very tasty food. Very family friendly. Fabulous pool and sun beds are very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

An idyllic base for exploring the Lustica peninsula, Bay of Kotor, Budva and beyond.

The welcome from the host and his family, the beautifully restored building, the peaceful location, the amazing views across the Bay of Kotor, the brand new, spacious and well-equipped apartment and not forgetting the delicious dinner from the outdoor grill and the Montenegrin breakfast.

Mooie plek ver weg van Kotor en Tivat.

Rustig verblijf in de bergen buiten Kotor. Zwembad is erg fijn evenals het appartement.

Wij hadden meer verwacht van de accommodatie gezien de recensies van anderen. Misschien hadden we daar ook meer naar moeten vragen. Dus ligt ook zeker bij ons. Toen wij er waren was het erg stil. Eigenaren eigenlijk niet gezien. Balkon was erg klein en de stoelen kapot.

Szavakkal kifejezni nem lehet, annyira gyönyörű a villa, a személyzet nagyon kedves volt. Este fél 9 re értünk a villába,mégis kedvesen mosolygósan vártak minket! Mesélt Montenegróról, egy üdvözlő ital mellett!A két teraszos lakrészt kaptuk, nagyon kényelmes volt! Minden tökéletes! A medence, a pinpongasztal,a konditerem, minden! A konyha jól felszerelt. Die Zuwegung war etwas schwierig, aber das lag nicht an den Gastgebern sondern vielmehr an den vielen Straßenbaustellen auf dem Weg zu der Apartmentanlage.

Locatie heerlijk rustig met een mooi onderhouden zwembad. Alles was schoon en de kamar had een fijn balkon met uitzicht. De verhuurder is heel lief en het gezin werkt hard om alles naar wens te maken!
