Excellent place, with plenty of room, living space, and kitchen facilities, including washer & dryer. These all made it a great place for our family of three persons for a five-day visit. We could hunker down on rainy days -- warm, good wifi, tv -- and we could enjoy amazing views before going exploring on sunny days. Trish was an outstanding host: a minor issue with the shower head was fixed within the hour, and she helped us with good advice. We'd go back there in a heartbeat.

I had a friend visiting from the states who wanted to see more of New Zealand and to visit my daughter and her husband who are living in Whangarei. We decided to meet in Russell. Te Maiki Villa 3 suited us perfectly. We loved having three bedrooms, the kitchen was well equipped, the view was spectacular, it was close enough to town to walk and we appreciated the history of the property. We will come and are confident in recommending it to you and our friends/family that want to visit Russell.

We loved our stay at Te Maiki. It was the perfect distance to the town of Russell which made it easy for trips and walking. The space was great, opening up all the doors and looking at the ocean was perfect. The kitchen has everything you need. Trish was so helpful and lovely to communicate with. Villa was very clean and kitchen had everything you needed. Quick walk into town or up to flagstaff. Great location with lovely views. Trish the host was lovely and very accommodating with last minute requests. We would stay again.

Lovely place to stay, amazing views and well appointed accommodations. Sunsets and sunrises from this unit! Short steep walk if you don't have a car, but easy enough for us to go for a lovely run to Long Beach on the other side of the peninsula.

Our stay at Te Maliki villa couldn’t have been nicer. The property was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the waterfront and a short walk to restaurants and the beach.

Great location. Unit, very clean and spacious. We stayed in Unit 3 which was very comfortable for 4 adults & could have easily slept another 2 adults. Great responsive property manager for any queries we had. Please note this unit does not have Wifi.

Everything was excellent. Maybe look at changing locks on exterior doors as they were difficult to open and close. Also interior door to bedrooms needed shaving so as it could be opened and closed. Will recommend to friends.

Perfect location with wonderful views and walking distance to the Russell village. Wonderful bird life and doors opening out onto Bush and views. The property had everything we needed however BBQ was not clean so we did not use and there was an offensive odour which appeared from the somewhat new carpet. The manager was available and helpful.

The house was lovely and Trish was great to deal with. A big downside was no WiFi. Because of the situation all four of us were scrambling to change flights and had to go into Russell to get WiFi. I would like a refund of 100 us. Dollars because of this. It should be disclosed there is no WiFi in the listing as in this day and age it is expected.

The property was the perfect size for our group of 4 adults. The view was stunning and we enjoyed having the little lawn in front of the deck. Trish was quick to remedy an issue with nails on the deck when we mentioned it. The property is very well stocked with kitchen needs and there was milk in the fridge and ice in the freeze. Our only grumble was that we had to leave at the end of our weekend! We will be back.

Really awesome little place. Covered all our needs. But tricky with an almost 2 year old but we knew that when we booked. Nails on deck a bit sharp for little feet but facilities amazing, view is stunning even had washing powder etc which was so handy! Loved our stay

We had an enjoyable stay in Villa 3 which unfortunately was not quite as good as it could have been due to there being no hot water available for showers and washing up and the BBQ was in an unsafe condition to use. Trish did her utmost to get the HWC repaired before we arrived but since this was not possible, Trish was great and offered us the use of her own villa which happened to be vacant. Due to the bedding configuration in her villa, which didn't suit our requirements, we opted to only use the showers and boiled water in Villa 3 to do our dishes. She also offered us the use of her BBQ which we used for several meals. All in all, we had a nice weekend and worked around the lack of hot water (glamping!). We would happily stay at the villas again. Thanks Trish.

What a shame, the unit itself is in a great spot overlooking the bay, views are nice but for our family thats where it ends. No wifi Shower was terrible TV had 4 channels to choose from No spare bin liners No sugar or coffee No contact at all from the owners Okay, some may say these things are minor but we paid a hefty price to rent this unit and therefore I expect a certain standard, things such as wifi really should be a given in this modern era. Throughout our two week trip to Nz we were treated like kings, property owners really could not have done more, we met some wonderful people, the bar has been raised and you guys have been found seriously wanting. It was obvious these were investment properties with profit being the main focus, look after your clients better!

Fantastic location, although we are very familiar with the Bay of Islands area. This was a great alternative to the place we usually stay in. Lots of space for the 6 of us and plenty of kitchenware, linen and towels, etc. Well set up including BBQ. We will go back.
