Perfect relax

The room was very cosy, and we were even given a choice of which one we'd like since we were the only guests there for the night. There is a fully equipped kitchen and the owner provided some food for breakfast (eggs, toast, cereals, jam, yoghurt, fresh fruit etc.). The nature around is just amazing and very quiet.

Very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Very well equipped communal kitchen. Everything spick and span and well maintained. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Evening meal bookable ten minutes walk away at hotel. We cycled up from Lochboisdale and enjoyed exploring Grimsay and walking up the nearby beach (part of the Hebridean Way).

Central position for anywhere on Uist.Clean and comfortable place to stay

Exceptionally well provided in the shared kitchen area with food in the fridge, essentials for breakfast, cafetière and coffee machine. Plenty of milk, bread, eggs, butter, biscuits, yoghurt etc. Oven and washing machine a bonus. Very friendly hosts.

Only improvement would be plumper pillows. But they were better than many other places we stayed where pillows were too hard to sleep on.

Hospitality as it should be! Exceptional little find.

Beautiful little house on the edge of stunning scenery. Room was comfortable with spacious bathroom. Bonus comes from use of a cosy sitting room and exceptionally stocked, help-your-self kitchen/breakfast. Andrew, the host was kind, welcoming and friendly. A little gem of a find. Would recommend most highly!

Good no frills accommodation at a fair price with shared kitchen and living area in addition to room

Everything was fine. Good location, breakfast and parking. Host was very helpful and friendly.

We stayed 3 nights and we were happy, but we could have been more comfortable if there had been some more shelving or surfaces in the bathroom. For a woman, the ledge adjacent to the toilet was not enough. There was nowhere to put anything other than the floor, even a couple of hooks on the door would have helped. I took a table from the communal area and a stool to sit on so I did not damage the plastic toilet seat lid by sitting on it. Bananas were the only fruit option for breakfast. With 6 avaialble when other guests take extras, then there were not enough. These are meant as constructive criticisms. Overall we were happy with our stay. Monkey, the owner was very accommodating

The help yourself breakfast was full of great options, gluten free products supplied by request in advance. Kitchen and washing machine etc available. Very nice place and a great night's sleep. Thanks Andrew.

Excellent communication from the host from booking to checkout, centrally located (safe 10 minute walk to the local hotel for food & drink), communal area (settees, TV, dining table) and facilities (tea, coffee, bread, cereals, fruit, chocolate bars, eggs, cheese etc) exceptional! Thank you. Would highly recommend this property!

The room was sold as a small twin and it was! Only the two single beds, one bedside cabinet and a luggage stand in there, but was fit for our short two night stay. To compensate, the en-suite was good with a great shower!

Way above our expectations .

1. Location great. Between north and south Uist so a great base with a fabulous beach 7 mins away. 2.We loved the convenience of self catering . The lounge area was comfortable and the kitchen very very well equipped. 3. The variety of food provided for breakfast was extensive and generous no expense was spared . I particularly loved the coffee maker . 4. The hosts were great , a recommended bike ride from the house was fabulous and generally we were very well looked after. 5. The communal kitchen gave us the opportunity to meet other travellers which we wouldn’t have otherwise

Very enjoyable

Exceptional accommodation. Very clean. The kitchen had everything you could want. We could have cooked a roast dinner if we wished. The continental breakfast items offered were very generous in quantity and variety. This property is the best of its type we have stayed in. The washing machine was a bonus Highly recommend this place to all. Andrew and Kathleen are very friendly and great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here

Superb Hebridean Stay

A great find on our trip cycling the Hebridean Way. Great location. The room was perfect and the kitchen was ideal for us to self cater on our journey north. The fridge was well stocked for breakfast. The house was spotless and the kitchen well equipped. Super friendly host gave us some tips on where to stop heading north.

Struggling to find a criticism as everything was so well thought out at this property. The only thing that might be needed (they are probably somewhere in the kitchen but I didn’t find them) are coasters and table mats to save damage to your furniture.

Very comfortable stay in the Hebrides.

Very comfortable stay. Excellent facilities and very well thought out space. Very smooth check in process and close to a pub/hotel which did nice food, also close to the beach for excellent walking and bird watching. Would stay here again. Good breakfast options too.

Ticked all the boxes.

Andrew was very welcoming, friendly, and easy to talk to. The facilities were great, rooms were clean, and very considerate towards the guests’ requirements. It was easy to unwind there after an otherwise difficult trip due to unrelated work issues. Had I not had the interaction with Andrew, and simply been left to stew in a hotel room I think it would have been a lot worse. Definitely would stay there again.
