Annie's Cottage

The location is great for anyone who wants to be out of the business of the Lakes villages but doesn't mind driving to places. The cottage is ideally situated for both the Lakes and the beaches. You are 30mins drive from the South Lakes and 5 minutes from the coast. We went walking in the Duddon Valley and visited some wild swimming spots in Eskdale. Haverigg beach is really nice and has great amenities such as toilets, free parking, a great playground and a nice café. The village the cottage is in is small but has a nice pub although this doesn't open Mon and Tues. There is a great playground and also tennis courts next to the village hall which look to be free.

Nothing - it was all good

This is a lovely clean cottage equipped with everything you need.

We could only get one heater working so the cottage, especially the bathroom, was very cold, but apart from that it was perfect. For pet owners, it was a bit of a faff not being able to use the back yard. We have a small dog who needs to go out frequently with a harness so that was a bit of a bind, but having an enclosed kitchen area where we could keep the dog was useful and being able to take the dog there was great.
