Exctraordinary vacation home: Sauna, fireplace & Whirlpool - playground, BBQ, Wifi, kids room

We had a pleasant stay at this property, but we did find much of the information is misleading, so I would suggest reading this review if you are interested in renting. On the plus side, it is modern and clean and it has a great setting, but I would highlight the following: 1. There are actually 2 houses and the pictures on the website show both, so only half the pictures will apply to the house you hire. A previous review mentions only one house has the garden shown, which is true. The other has a modest patio and use of shared garden that is not practical to use. 2. In my opinion, it is suitable for 2 families not 3. Two of the “bedrooms” are on mezzanines within the double bedrooms, so unsuitable for young children as they cannot safely access them and older children as many parents will not want them sharing the bedroom. 3. There are only 2 parking spaces and the additional parking is at the pool 290m away down a very steep slope (not 200m), but we parked there without any problems. 4. The pool is not free as indicated, but it is not expensive and suitable for families. 5. The upstairs shower in our house became blocked with every use as the drain is too small, so we mostly used the towels to deal with the water spillage. 6. On arrival, we had to pay a “refundable damage deposit” in cash together with the tourist tax. It took 17 days, 3 messages to the owner and a call to Owners Direct to get the deposit refunded. However, it should clearly state the utilities will be deducted from "refundable deposit", albeit this is mentioned in the small print, especially as it represented a large part of the deposit. It is lucky we have a Euro account to receive the refund. 7. Be prepared for additional costs to the price shown on the website. 8. The tourist tax is meant to provide some free services, but there is no explanation, so we could not access them. 9. While the advert states the nearest bar is 2km, it was rarely open. We could not find the restaurant that is advertised as 1km away. Most likely, you will need to walk 3.3km to the town for bars and restaurants. I would not discourage anyone from renting here with the above foresight. However, had we known, the cost was much more than similar properties. Also, I prefer complete transparency upfront on costs and I do not expect to have to wait 17 days and chase for a refund of my money.

المنزل بقرية حالمة وهادئة وَذَا اطلالة جميلة على الجبل بتصميم مميز مكون من ٦ غرف وصالة واسعة مطلة على الشرفة. اثنتين من الغرف ملحقة بملحق للأطفال. النزف به مطبخ متكامل ومجهز ويوجد غسالة ملابس ونشافة مرفقة بغرفة بالمنزل. أيضا ساحة جميلة للعب الأطفال. الحمام الرئيسي به سونا وحمام اخر به جاكوزي. مواقف السيارات متوافرة لسيارتين ويجد موقف عام قريب. تجربة ممتازة لمنزل مميز.

We really enjoyed our 12 summer days in 1 Dieboldsberg, the base for our Black Forest holiday. The house is modern, clean and fully equipped. It has the luxury of a sauna, a whirlpool bath and really good drenching showers. There's a washing machine a dishwasher and a good sized TV. The house Iis smart, big and just how we like holiday accommodation to be. With the hot weather you get in southern German summers we were able to enjoy barbeques on the terrace looking across at the woodland all around. There is a an excellent, huge, heated public swimming pool two minutes walk away and the pretty town of Alpirsbach is a two minute drive. It's a good setup for getting to the sights of the Black Forest and we made excursions to Freiburg, the Hohenzollern Schloss and to lakes and walks in the forest. Cycling was fun because if you hire lakes and walks in the forest. Cycling was fun because if you hire your bikes form the excellent bike shop in Lossburg it's all downhill to Alpirsbach and on to the beautiful of town of Schiltach. Then on to Offenburg and take the train back to the shop. Very important note - as guests you get a ticket which allows you free travel on the local railways - make sure you don't get on an express though - it's not valid. The Schwarzwald thoroughly deserves its reputation for beauty and there's much to do. The 1 mile long hillside roller coast at Gutach was a highlight for the children but there's variety enough for them cycling and walking and swimming in lakes and waterfall streams to occupy them. We would thoroughly recommend this house as your Black Forest home.

Das Ferienhaus hat einen schönen großen Esstisch, an dem wir zu Neunt gut Platz hatten und es ist mit Geschirr und Gläsern sowie Küchenutensilien sehr gut bestückt. Die Lage ist perfekt, man kann direkt vom Haus aus los wandern. Es war alles sehr sauber, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sehr schöner Kurzurlaub

Our family wanted to get away and explore the Black Forest area and this home provided us the perfect location where we were close to stores, hiking, outdoor activities and more. We loved having the indoor fireplace and the vast windows in the living room that looked out over the forest. The bathrooms and accommodations were superb, fitted with waterfall showers, a sauna, and everything you would need during your stay. The administration team was very responsive and communicated well with us. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home and for such a wonderful weekend getaway.
