Loved Trieste, overall a great trip, disappointed that our apartment didn't match expectations

The location was excellent, 10 minute walk from the train station or a short ride on a number 6 bus which stops at the station and will bring you to just outside the entrance to the apartment building. The apartment was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay in Trieste and enjoyed many good meals in restaurants within a few minutes walk of the apartment. The host has put together some recommendations which were helpful to get you started. Once we got our bearings, we found many more lovely places. Overall a very nice trip.

Our apartment only had internal windows and we did not have much in the way of natural light. The photographs on the listing are an overview of the three apartments managed by the host, only one of which does have a balcony. I would not have booked this accommodation if I had realised that the photos were not solely of the apartment that we would be staying in. In the photos of what I now know was our apartment, there is light shining through the windows. I don't know how these photos were achieved because during our stay, despite glorious sunny weather, until we stepped out of the lift into the downstairs hallway, we had no idea what the weather was doing. The overview photos on the listing, show seating areas with a sofa. We didn't have that. For us it was either sit on your bed or on a dining type chair. I only mention this because I think that others should make sure that they know which of the three apartments they will be staying in. I was disappointed as I'd been looking forward to the views shown in the photos and whereas it didn't ruin our holiday, for the first day or so I was very uncomfortable as I don't do well with artificial light and would never choose to stay somewhere where I would have to rely on having the lights on all of the time. Fortunately the weather was good and we stayed out as muich as we could.

Great licarion, quiet, clean, spacious with invaluable washer and dryer.

Great location, quiet and clean. Our friendly host immediately fixed a faulty blackout blind. Doona was super warm. Both the washing machine and dryer were new and worked perfectly. It was also spacious.

Cozy little place in the heart of the city

Great location, very close to the center. Everything s at the walking distance. The apartment is spacious, very comfortable for 3 travelers, but it could easily fit 2 more people. It has a very cute balcony overlooking the street and a small square across the street.

The room was fantastic. I would recommend using this property to everyone. Alexandra went above and beyond for us. It was a great start to our vacation.

Not comfortable at all

Very unprofessional host. We have to wait on the street to come to open apartment. Very small uncomfortable room, this isn’t two bedrooms apartment. In the entrance is double bed and second room doesn’t have regular door between, there is no living room, no table or regular chairs… There is no normal window to open and take fresh air.. lot of dust and strange smells… location is really good but impossible to find parking around.

Centrally located, clean apartment, recommend for solo traveler or a couple.

Cute apartment in a nice old-style building. Small kitchenette with all the utensils needed to cook your own meals. The apartment is one of three (or four) apartments on that same floor. You enter through an outer door and then have to walk through a hallway to get to your apartment. The location is very good, you will walk approximately 10-12 minutes to all the important touristic sites. Apartment was very clean, and the TV had working Netflix available. On the floor of the apartment(s), there is a small room with laundry/dryer, including detergent. This was very helpful and much appreciated.

The size was OK, but some people might find it a bit too small. For a couple with two small children, it might be pushing it. Communication with the owner was OK, but when we needed an answer quickly, he took a long time to answer us.

The location was great, but the "two bedroom apartment" turned out to be one room partly subdivided.

Location was ideal

We booked a "two bedroom apartment". However, what we got was one room that was partly subdivided! This was a misrepresentation on the Booking.com website that said: "Two-Bedroom Apartment". The beds included a double bed and two single beds, there was no sofa or comfortable chairs to sit on. Only the double bed was made up when we arrived, despite letting the manager of the apartment know that we had booked a two bedroom apartment!

We had a wonderful stay in Trieste and the apartment location helped us to cover all the main sights easily

Fabulous location the heart of the city centre and close to all the main squares and bus routes. The sound proof windows made sure the noise of the street didn’t disturb us at all. Ample paid parking all around for those driving in.

It was a bit sparse. Could be a bit more cozy.

The apartment was totally adequate for our visit, since we spent most of our time exploring the city

The location was excellent, close to Canale Grande and with excellent access to public transport. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and very quiet, indeed. The downside of the quiet location was that we didn't have much of a view (except of a small and quite dark courtyard). We cannot comment on the quality of staff (since the apartment was not serviced during our 6-day stay), but our host was most helpful when we arrived.

The bed was a bit too soft for our tastes, but reasonably comfortable. The furniture was spartan (uncomfortable chairs)

The apartment was spacious, clean and the location just perfect. You could walk to all the major sights within minutes!!! The host Marina was very friendly and she gave us many precious tips about restaurants, shopping and how to get around. We would always come back when in Trieste!

We were staying in one of the apartments that weren’t facing the street that’s why we did not have so much daylight in the room... but it was less noisy because of this, as you could not here any cars or other street noise.

Emplacement en plein cœur de la ville et facile à rejoindre de la gare, quartier animé , élégant et pas trop touristique. Appartement calme sans aucun bruit ,spacieux très propre et bien aménagé et confortable.Bonne literie.

C’est vrai peu de lumière naturelle mais cela préserve aussi du bruit de la rue.
