This place, Waterfall Apartments, is a hidden gem in a hidden gem of a location: The apartment- spacious: smart without being prissy ,very comfortable to come home to/wake up in. Great views - distant hills and fields/trees- warm and deliciously quiet. Well provided , good size kitchen area ,shower room& living space -and it all works!Even the blinds worked properly !Beautifully clean ,nice touches of ornaments/ pictures without being either cluttered or spartan. Room to put stuff, very comfy bed and sofa. I also liked the helpful welcome pack and the thoughtful information about what is in the area - made me feel really welcome and looked after. I had worried the restaurant below might mean it was noisy - but this place is peaceful &quiet- you are not aware of the restaurant at all when in the apartment. The restaurant is a joy- good cooking and friendly atmosphere. I enjoy country walks -there are footpaths all over starting from the doorstep here- I was able to ditch the car and enjoy the locality with my dog :There is the stunning local waterfall - really dramatic- plus woodland and open country all within easy reach - usually with red kites drifting above. It is not well known so, as an area, is not crowded like other places. Other eateries & interests -Dan Yr Ogof caves, the Waterfall walks , takeaways in Glenn Neath, a short drive away or bus ride. Bus stop at top of road.Village shop seems to stock everything is in walking distance -open until 8 every day and good for sitting outside eating an ice cream.This is a real village - not just a dormitory place . There is a village hall up the road - coffee mornings on a Wednesday , bar open on a Friday ( I'd only booked until Friday morning so missed this treat ) The village has a friendly culture .

Very central location for the falls and surrounding activities. The rooms very very clean and tidy and although it was above a pub (which was a bonus in utself) it was quiet and so relaxing. Beautiful views across the countryside but the thing that really made it for us were the hosts. Very communicative in the lead up to the booking and so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back to stay at this amazing place! We have honestly had the best time thanks to waterfall country apartments and their team
If I had to be picky, then I would say that the sofa bed was a bit cold to sleep on (leather has that effect) but we just popped a blanket under the sheet and it was fine. Lots of room, the bed was huge and comfy

Reasonable location.
Quiet.
There wasn’t really anywhere to relax.
The room was also quite dark, with a poor view.
