Guascone Apartments

It has a lift! It is central to the old city. It is 10 minutes from Palermo Centrale. You are met by a person to greet you and show you around. It has a laundry room that you can use. It is nicely decorated. It is OK. Not the best but far from the worst.

There were holes in the bed sheets. There was mould in the shower. The walls are thin and you can hear everything... I mean everything ( best not be thinking of having relations 😉) as we can all hear you. The neighbours (locals) kids are still up (and playing, crying, screaming) at midnight to 1am. Every night. The washing machine needs Chat GPT to operate it. You cannot iron and do your washing at the same time as there is only one plug socket. The approach to the property is littered and smells of urine and dog (?) poo. However the locals are friendly.

Wow! This apartment is an absolute dream to stay in! So glad we booked the top floor apartment for our week in Palermo that had its own amazing and private roof top terrace! It was super hot in Palermo, but the air conditioning in the lounge and bedroom was a godsend. Ignazio is super lovely and really helpful, he met us late at night to show us round the property, and is on hand for any questions, (even helping save my friends contact lens from being lost down the sink!) The property is in a prime location and only a short walk to the train station, Lidl, buses etc and is right in the heart of all the action for sightseeing, bars, restaurants and shopping, but great that it’s really quiet as off into the side streets. It is clean and tidy, has a comfy bed and sofa (also sofa bed), nice shower, good kitchenette with fridge, hob and microwave for making own food, and you can use the washing machine on the ground floor. We were also happy with the lift to the top floor, needed in the heat! Would definitely stay here again if back in Palermo and highly recommend!

1) Location location location! - a minute away from Via Maqueda pedestrian street which you can walk down to Teatro Massimo and Garibaldi theater/square - 3 minutes to Via Roma: Lidl and bus connections - 10 min walk to Central Train Station (airport 50 minutes) - passing Via Roma, you're already in Kalsa - Mercato Ballaro 5min away 2) elevator 3) pretty quiet for Palermo downtown, sleeping was no problem

everything was ok, would come again should be obvious, but a note though: this is a city, not a beach getaway: getting to Mondello beach in summer with bus can take while, we rented a scooter/car to get around

Good location

Insecure ranch slider, facilities such as washing machine, dryer, oven, toaster,coffee maker were not there. Poor communication with owner.
