Chill stay in unique accommodation

I really enjoyed my stay here. The little rooms are compact but was perfect for a solo stay. The bathroom is fabulous. I loved the chilled vibe of the property. The staff were lovely. Breakfasts were great. Property is a great location to explore Ceningan and in walking distance to many restaurants.

Lovely place, didn’t want to leave

Le Pirate is the best place to stay. Love the whole view of the place, and super nice view from your hut and when in the pool or chilling. The hut is a bit small, but makes it also cute, there’s plenty of ledges to put your small stuff. The bean bags are the best, super nice to chill in. Lots of local eateries close by with nice views as well. Would 100% come back.

location is incredible and the bungalows are perfect. it was quiet and pool was clean and relaxing vibe

the food was not great. changed a lot since 2019 staff were not coming by to collect empty plates or bottles and there was no cold water option. menu and service could be improved otherwise we ate out most days which is a shame

Loved the pool area and the location!

We didn’t mind too much but the rooms were super small, we couldn’t even open our suitcases in our room we had to put them on our bed to open. We honestly didn’t even mind though it was super cosy.

-the pool area -the staff (big shout out to the lovely colleague who drove me today from the hotel to the ferry! That was so kind!!!)

Unfortunately, my room was not that clean :( In addition, while lying at the pool you could smell a very unpleasant odor every 5-10 minutes which was really disgusting One evening the electricity went down, which ofc is not the fault of the hotel, but no communication was given to the hotel guests and I felt very insecure and scared, as my phone almost did not have any battery anymore and in the room it was so hot

Great for solo travellers 😁

Stunning property overlooking the seaweed farm. The room is small but previous reviews mention this, and they have a document in the room to say ‘it may be small but it has everything you need’…which it really does. The staff are wonderful and you can tell they enjoy working there. They gave me a lift to the harbour when I left and will help with anything you need. Scooters are definitely needed on this island…although you can walk round the island in a few hours with lots of drink stops on the way. Breakfast was amazing as was the general food there. There’s also a fab little warung 2 mins walk where the locals go and it’s super cheap!

Not a negative as they make you aware, but I was in room 1, and the staff explained it would be noisy because of being next to the road and hearing the roosters, dogs and bikes…I didn’t mind this. But it is loud and right next to the restaurant - thankfully it stops at 10pm although you can hear the staff cleaning/leaving. The staff arrive around 6.30am so you’ll hear them then as well. The only real negative I have is that it’s open to external guests during the day which means that the pool area can be crowded and you may not get a sun lounger. It may have been busier than normal due to Nyepi Laut - Sea silence day where no one is allowed to go on the beach or in the sea.

A perfect adult getaway!

Loved this place. It was a perfect boutique feel, with an amazing pool overlooking the sea and seaweed farm. The bathroom was outdoor and huge. The restaurant and food were great and staff lovely. It was in walking distance to some other restaurants, Warungs and massage places.

We already knew this but the bunk bed room was very squishy. Lucky we were only two friends. Not much room for suitcases but it is worth the money for a short stay.

Perfect Location

I spent 2 nights at Le Pirate. I was pleasantly surprised by the venue. The pool an surrounding area was so lovely to hang out at. The changes in the tides and lights in the evening were just beautiful to witness. The food was delicious and service was quick and professional. The staff spoke very good English and were very accommodating. The room was quaint and although very small, I had the best night sleep listing to the waves lapping against the pool. I enjoyed sitting on the futon and hammock outside my room. I will definitely return. Gede and Gede were very helpful.

A large group of loud Aussies, came in on my last evening, it spoiled the atmosphere and made it unpleasant to sit outside.

It is the “Pirate of the Ceningan”. I will definitely come back again.

I stayed there for 3 nights. Even though it was a tiny house, efficiency is 100%. They already provide everything you need. The hammock, the brooms, lots of hangers and sufficient lighting. The water temperature of the pool is just right. The breakfast is extremely good. Personally, I love the scents of the towels. You will be peaceful by the surrounding.

The rooms are small, we knew that when we booked so not a problem, but nowhere to put even a small suitcase. Only suggestion I would have to help with this is maybe adding one of the fold out suitcase stands for in the bathroom. We were happy to have our stuff in there, just would get wet being on the ground.

Surprisingly the BEST night sleep all trip! Gorgeous property.

Staff were so friendly, early check in wasn’t a problem. Although obviously small, the rooms were so cosy and CLEAN! As is the entire property, it’s so well maintained. Best night sleep all trip; comfy mattress, pillows and sheets. The outdoor bathroom and shower was also great. Super clean pool. Great food and drink menu.

Be prepared for the fact that wi-fi works well only in the café area. It is a big problem in houses. This should be taken into account by those who work while on vacation. But if you are ready to take this trip as a small retreat, you will be rewarded.

It was short because of the size of the room, but for younger people with less luggage, amazing option.

The swimming pool is one of the great ones on the island. And the restaurant is fantastic, the staff very friendly.

The rooms are tiny. Like really small. We could not fit our luggage in with us and had to put it in the bathroom / shower, which made using the bathroom an issue when you had to move everything again. We ended up moving to another resort because of this- but went back to eat and swim at Le Pirate.

Wifi did not work well. Don’t leave anything outside on the deck as we had stuff go missing. Says adult only but there were kids there. The tap water was green and the pool smelt bad. The rooms are very small, the only place to open your suitcase is on the bed. Don’t do scooter rentals despite advertising this.

Fall asleep with the gentle sound of the waves...

I don't know how many stars does this place have, but I give it 5 stars! 5 stars service and staff for sure! We stayed for a week and they treated us like family, not just guests. We got to know the managers and learned so much about the island and the culture. They arranged for an incredible snorkeling trip where we saw manta rays and turtles. The internet on both islands is very hit and miss but the hotel had Starlink which worked flawlessly, specially in the lobby/restaurant. So perfect for those looking to enjoy the true island life but still need to work remotely. The included breakfast had a few options and we loved it! They were super accommodating for changes to the plates (some are not vegetarian but they will make it so if you ask). The rooms aren't super big but have everything you need and a super comfy bed and pillows. The bathroom outside is also super nice and very clean. You also get your own hammock outside or room (very nice to fall asleep with the gentle sound of the waves).

Lovely staff and good location!

Gorgeous little gem with the most friendly staff! Cabins are cute and cozy, I would’ve just loved a little robe or cupboard to get our belongings out of the way. However we didn’t spend much time inside the cabin anyway as we went around the islands or were in the pool. Value for price is also exceptional
